Just fyi, the s's are silent. It's like "bell ay bo". Wow, years of French classes have finally paid off.

*shakes head* I'm a former member of plainfield belles et beaux and I'm currently a French Education major in college, therefore seeing all of these attempts at pronunciation is making me cringe lol. "Belles" is easy, think of a bell. but you DO pronounce the 's' because the next word, "et", starts with a vowel, so you have a "Bell-zay" sound. Then you have "beaux", think if a bows. Therefore, your final product will be "Bell-zay Bows"

Now, "et" means "and", and more times than not, you'll here people call us "Bells and Bows" and that's close enough that no one really cares, and we use the & a bunch too.

With that being said, i didn't just start this to correct French pronunciation lol. best of luck to all choirs competing!!!!! hope it's a good competition!

Well since we're leaving for Mooresville right after school today, this will be the last chance I get to come on here until I get home after the competition, so good luck to everyone!

So..I'm a bit biased here . But we actually are pretty decent this year. Compared to last year Keynotes isn't doing so hot, but we've been making finals and moving up throughout the season. I've never seen Brownsburg, so I don't really know how we stack up against them. Have you seen both shows?

I saw you guys this year and brownsburg last year....last year they were pretty good but like you said you guys were to so I don't know anything could happen

Unless brownsburg isn't up to par this year there is no way olentangy makes it in top 3...I mean there was a time when they were a powerhouse but this isn't their year I'm not bashing on them it happens to everyone

How do you put olentangy in 6th and say there is no way they will beat groups? Though olentangy is down a bit from last year they are still good. They will be in the top 3.

Bell zay Bos

It means Beautiful Women and Classy Men (not a word for word translation, but a translation that better suits American English Language).
