Curious in Tier 2 how FC Encores won BV and finished in 5th?

They must have got captions through overall score and rankings based on judges placements?

This was an ISSMA competition, so placement is based solely on score, rankings aren’t a factor

The scores were VERY close. New Castle finished second in both vocal and visual by a mere 8 tenths of a point, however this was enough to push us forward to win. It all depends on how it averages out between vocals and visuals. They could get a high vocal score but a low visual score and cause their score to be lower.

Does anyone know why they chose to take only for tier one mixed?

When Dekalb switched from tier 1 to tier 2 they added an additional group to make finals in the tier 2 category and took one away from the tier 1 category.

Just want to note that Castle took GC last week and didn't place top 4 here. What a tough competition. Indiana is so show choir dense that each week is a battle and you never know what will happen.
