I think west jones girls group might make finals. West Jones usually has a great girls group and mixed group.

It seems like a few groups have changed divisions this year. Oak Grove is back to large, west jones is back to middle, I believe south jones is also in Middle this year, and sumrall is back to small. Will be a very nice competition. Looking forward to seeing Biloxi and everyone else!

I love Shanke Cockrell and think he and his wife do an excellent job at West Jones; however, I don't stay in touch as much as I used to. Does anyone know when West Jones moved to the Middle Division ??

WJ has competed in the Middle Mixed division since the year after I graduated HS 2011). But they frequently have continued to make finals at most of their competitions (and even have won a few GCs).

Well what I'm confused ab is that they are moving down from large division after the successful year last year.

In 2017 West Jones moved up to compete in Large division but just moved back down to middle for the 2018 competition season. They had a very successful year this past year ready to see what they will bring to the table now being that they are back in middle division.

Ok. So maybe I'm not THAT crazy then. I didn't get to see any choirs in 2017 but I thought I had heard that they had a year in large division. Maybe it is just better for them to be in Middle and make finals.

I Heard that Homewood's "The Network" will be at this competition! Also, has Biloxi move up to the large division this year or are they staying in middle mixed?

With Jackson Prep and South Jones competition being the same weekend now, groups who usually attend both, has to decide on which one they want to attend which will bring down the amount of groups attending at both of these competitions.
