Glenwood is living proof that you don't have to do that same old choreography that has grown redundant in recent years.

It's going to be another great year for these kids. Congratulations to Glenwood, Troy, and Waubonsie Valley for top three and Decatur, Twinsburg, and Sullivan for outstanding finals performances!

Yeah, according to our new "VS" feature it looks like this is the first time Glenwood has come out on top vs. Waubonsie Valley in 6 attempts. This is also the first competition where WV didn't win one of the major captions since back in 2012. Very impressive, all around.

Their theme is food/cooking! The girls opener costumes are yellow dresses with tons of rhinestones and its fantastic! And their character shoes ????

To not have WV predicted as the winner is to ignore their years of undefeated seasons. They have 1 lost to Indy state champs FC which is arguable. I refuse to make predictions here though.

It is worth noting that Sound Check will not have a “complete” show (not sure what element(s) is/are missing) for a couple of weeks. Though, that being said, I’m sure Sound Check, considering that they are Sound Check, could still win this competition. We’ll have to see!

Can you be more specific regarding WV not having a complete show?

I wish! I heard through the grapevine (social media) that Sound Check would be better in "a couple of weeks"....not sure what that means, one can only infer, but nonetheless Sound Check is obviously of the most incredibly talented and well-directed groups amongst us in the show choir realm; we shall see how tonight goes!

I was at that competition just to watch the awesome groups. FC truly was better that evening than WV. But I saw WV a month later and they really cleaned up their show.

I'm sure that's true for Waubonsie Valley, but the same really can be said for any of these performing choirs. It's the first time out for the majority, so the amount of growth and additions to shows from this competition onto the next and through February will be significant.

So I'm confused...we should all predict WV as the winner? Every show choir has a chance to win any competition regardless of their past history. WV is a great show choir, but they've had some changes over the last couple of years, the least of which is a new director. Plus, part of the fun of competitions is being able to make predictions with your own opinions!
