So obviously there were some different opinions. To say Findlay won just because they are a big name group is ridiculous.

But it doesnt make sense. It was clear to see that colerain was better in finals, if someone that actually went and isnt just throwing comments around please speak up cause im sure we'd all like to hear. im not saying findlay was bad because they werent im saying last night they weren't the best group, colerain was. If any one, again that actually went, thinks differently speak up.

The notion that Findlay won due to reputation is ABSOLUTELY bogus. I understand one might be a little bit "bitter." But dang! Move on with it, it's was their opinion. Perhaps they were looking for something different than what you were looking at.

Im sorry i wasnt aware that loveland was at kettering? If you were there you would understand that colerain did deserve it. There would be no other explanation, please if there is one, tell me. Colerain was ahead going into finals, and they had a much much better finals show, while findlay was second going in and had a worse show. And findlay wins? Explain how that works mr. By-request?

Is that what they wrote on the score sheets? "Findlay is a big name group so we're going to give it to them even though they weren't the best. Sorry." I think not...

NO disrespect to Findlay, I have always beena MOJOR fan, but I think the results of this comp. demonstrate the politics of the whole thing. Findlay has a name built, Colerain doesn't. Judges are terrified to give the upset, they always have been. Honestly, I think its sad. Things change. Decent choirs become great. Groups like Fairfield and Franklin Central weren't always spectacular. No one was always great. If politics keep influencing final outcomes, how is an up-and-comming group supposed to make a name?

I'm sorry, I've just seen too many competitions where a group has really delivered, but because of politics they are robbed. Its time for judges to grow a pair and give the points to the groups who deserve it.

So come on judges, be unbiased. For once go into a competition COMPLETELY impartial. Forget everything you know about a group before hand and simply judge what you see. Shake things up. Give the underdog a chance to become a legacy. If anyone deserves it, its Colerain.

Olentangy Orange Revolution was regretfully informed at the conclusion of the day awards that the mics were indeed turned off during our performance. It is unfortunate but nonetheless congratulations to Findlay! :D

im sorry, so is colerain and im pretty sure they were in first in prelims by 8 points.
then....findlay came back and beat them by 5 points in finals.

I completely agree. Some people may think I'm biased, but trust me... I'm always the first person to admit when Colerain hasn't delivered and deserves to be beat. But last night, they DELIVERED and deserved to win. That is the best finals performance I have ever seen them give. Now I mean no disrespect to Findlay. I have always been a fan of Findlay and they are incredibly talented and have some of the best sopranos that I've seen from a group all year. But I just didn't see a difference from their pre-lims performance to their finals performance, and I saw a ton of changes in Colerain's show. Regardless, congrats to every group that performed and made finals.

No, i mean i watched both Findlay and Colerain's show in prelims and finals. Findlay had about the same show, which you could argue may have been worse than there pre-lims show, but i noticed a huge difference in Colerains show especially in their ballad. So i dont understand how Colerain lost, im sorry, its no disrespect to Findlay it just doesn't seem right to me. im sure many who saw what i saw agrees again no disrespect to findlay, your sopranos are some of the best i've seen.

I saw a HUGE change in Beavercreek's show...and at prelims creek and FFE were neck to neck...if Findlay performed the same show....whose to say creek couldn;t have gotten 1RU to Colerain?

I will say Kettering has some different judges than other comps...just saying...
