From what i've heard, Albertville had a time penalty that kept them out of finals, but don't quote me on that.

WOW!! i just don't see wv or bd out singing carmel omg. this is wow!!! (the last three...expected....but wow for top 3)

I can see it. WV always has great vocals. for years. They have that perfect combination of strength and finesse. Vocally they're incredible. I'll agree that Carmel has the probably the best vocals in indiana...but WV has some of the best vocals in the country. (BD is surprising. But i do love their show this year. much much more than last years.)

heard from over the phone...

Prelims Rankings
1) Waubonsie Valley (...by a large margin)
2) Ben Davis
3) Carmel
4) Mt. Zion
5) Enterprise
6) Eisenhower

heard 2,3,4 are close, with a gap, and then 5 &6

I wouldn't be supprised at all if Albetville had problems getting all their stuff across the raised stage in the time limit. Based on how things were last year at this comp. that was pretty common place.

No Albertville? Wow, that's kind of a shocker! finals look to be awesome though! I'm gonna go with Waubonsie sweeping, with Carmel and Zion fighting for 2nd & 3rd. Next is EEE in 4th, then Enterprise, and finally Ben Davis. those are my predictions. So, simplified:

GC: Waubonsie (+Sweep)
1RU: Carmel/Mt. Zion
2RU: Carmel/Mt. Zion
3RU: Eisenhower
4RU: Enterprise
5RU: Ben Davis

My predictions, even though I haven't seen anyone this year and I'm not at the competition yet (just going for finals):

1st: Carmel
2nd: Waubonsie Valley
3rd: Eisenhower
4th: Mount Zion
5th: Albertville
6th: Ben Davis

Now I'm leaving Indianapolis, driving for three hours in pouring rain up I-65 to Chicagoland... but it will be worth it.

Here's my predictions. There are about 7 or 8 groups here with GCs already this year... I predict that it could go about 7 different ways or more. Ha ha. I also predict that nobodys predictions on here will be correct : ) best of luck to anyone competing today what an amazing opportunity to see some great groups and different styles of show choir! Special good luck to Troy I know you guys have been working hard and no matter what happens today you guys have had a great year!

That would just make finals even more epic! Haha. Was there a tie in prelims that brought a 7th group into finals? I haven't heard this story.
It's going to be pretty serious either way.

I would like to wish all the groups safe travels!

No there was no tie. The directors at Linn-Mar decided that since there were 11 or 12 GC-caliber choirs competing they would add a seventh group in finals. This was decided prior to the competition.
