Prelims are at the Ryman Auditorium...

No... they are not. Everything is at the Grand Ole Opry this year.

Is everything this year on the Grand Ole Opry Stage or is only finals there?

I want to wish everyone the best of luck at this amazing competition! The Westers and I leave in 4 hours and 36 minutes (5 AM). We had our last rehearsal tonight and they are all thrilled to be seeing so many groups from all over the United States and being a part of one of the best National competitions in the country.

Safe journies to all! Be sure to introduce yourself to us, we don't bite!

I just recently saw Findlay and I must say, they have a fantastic show. I'm moving them up to Grand Champions. I'm excited to see the outcome! This weekend!

If band counts for 1/3 of the score sheet Findlay probably has the best chances at winning this one. The Boingers are Amazing!

How is that supposed to compete with all student bands? I mean... that's really not all that fair. 1/3 of the score sheet is devoted to the band. And it DOES count.

Is it ever fair?

Anyway, if they've sent the director's packets yet, I'd check that for the actual rules.

I don't remember what the rules were, but I do know there were a fair amount of adults playing in bands last year.

The band is 1/3 of the scoresheet, I would hope they aren't "lax" on their rules.

I don't really think anyone has a guaranteed finals position.
This is going to be a very interesting competition ;)
