Thank you so much for the encouragement. It's tough competing against such huge and talented groups, but we try.

I thought the scoring for this competition was interesting.
They had three vocal judges and two visual judges, and they took each set and averaged them, and then took the visual average and vocal average and weighted it 40% visual and 60% vocal. So the totals were out of much fewer points than usual. Thus the point totals for the finals show were actually not as close as they would appear at first.
Castle, congratulations on a great show - I was shocked that you weren't a part of finals. I hope you only continue to improve as your season continues - BEST OF LUCK!!!!

I totally agree...I was quite suprised when they didn't make finals.

Well thanks. We had some issues on stage, but they're fixed now. I congratulate everyone on their performance in finals.

LC your show is FANTASTIC.
Aaron Coates is a beast, those were some kick ass arrangements.

LC-Great job! I felt that you gave Center Grove a decent run for their money and I would expect nothing less! I've saw this group grow for sometime now and I don't see a limit to your growth! Good luck on the remainder of the season! Expect many many more pieces of hardware!

I didn't attend this competition but I would still like to say a couple of things now knowing the results.

LC: I have been a fan for quite some time. Always entertaining and so passionate. Different every year and that's great because that shows versatility and when you can do that and still give powerhouse groups a run for their money, that really says something.

Warren Central's show is as follows:
Opener-A New World/Take A Chance On Me
2nd-Superstition/Magic
Ballad-When The Time Comes
Guys/Girls-King Of The World/I Don't Need A Man
Closer-Proud

Also, thanks to everyone for the nice comments about LC's show. The kids have worked real hard and we got so many compliments from people at Warren and on here so again thanks. Were really trying to push the artistry of the show so to place behind CG Sound System by 4 points was a great accomplishment for our first contest. We really just wanted to be ready for CG Best of The Midwest which is a big reason as to why we attended Warren. Also, zlaires, we ABSOLUTELY LOVE our arrangements this year so thank you for noticing.

I didn't attend this competition but I would still like to say a couple of things now knowing the results.

CG: Congratulations. You always bring it when it comes to the hard choreo and full mature sound. I have to say though that I am kind of disappointed becuase It seems like you have the same layout each year with your shows. I always know what to expect with your shows everyear becuase they are very similar every season. I would love to see CG come out and do something completely different one year and not be as predictable.

LC: I have been a fan for quite some time. Always entertaining and so passionate. Different every year and that's great because that shows versatility and when you can do that and still give powerhouse groups a run for their money, that really says something.

WC: You guys are just all around entertaining. Very passionate and the vocals are beautiful every time. I can't wait to see your group this year.

Mooresville: Very surpised with the show this year. Great job with the vocals and energy.

BD: I haven't seen you guys in awhile but I can't wait to see you perform at Ben Davis this weekend.

Plainfield: Haven't seen you guys either but I have heard great things.

Anderson: I love you guys. Atown has come so far. You guys are amazing and always so different each year. I can't tell u how much I miss being apart of that family. I know you guys are a small group but you have a big sound just like the rest of them. No the choreo isn't that tough this year but just dig deep and find something to make up for that so the show can be just as explosive. You guys have to come together as a family. Leave the differences at the door. Get to business and keep Anderson going. Just be you. Maybe being different and taking risks every year hasn't won Atown that many trophies but You sure do have respect. And there are many times where you are right up there with all the rest of them. You have to love your show. Love you guys. I know you can do it.

I was also surprised Plainfield did not place higher. I had them 1st or 2nd runner up......but considering this was their first competition this season and several of the members were recovering from the "croupy crud," they did a great job and will be much stronger at next competitions. Way to go Plainfield.

Congrats to all the groups that placed as well as those who didn't make finals. All of you have wonderful talents!

Spent the day at Warren....Congrats to a great group of Warren kids and a very nice first competition! You've kicked off your hosting on a really great note. To the finalists in the mixed division great job!!

Center Grove- You kinda let me down in the day performance. (this is not a knock...keep reading!!!) I've come to expect great things from your group the passed 8 years and the first performance was a let down. This is not me saying your performance sucked....(re-read just to hammer that home) I think you guys had a great performance, but when someone expects great things, its hard to live up to them all the time. The evening performance was definitely better! You sounded like a bunch of grown men and women, very mature sound!! Congrats on the win!

LC-Great job! I felt that you gave Center Grove a decent run for their money and I would expect nothing less! I've saw this group grow for sometime now and I don't see a limit to your growth! Good luck on the remainder of the season! Expect many many more pieces of hardware!

BD- The best I've seen in 8 years! Your performance in the day seemed to slow and lose some power towards the end, but you finished well! The evening performance was very strong, and didn't sag like the day. I had you second in my evening predictions!

Mooresville- You guys continue to surprise me! Its nice to see a group come out and have a bunch of different people doing solos! Gives you a feeling that its guaranteed everyone in the group can sing and has just as much passion as the next guy! Really fun show!

Plainfield- What an evening show! I didnt get to see the day performance, but I was blown away by the diction and crisp-ness of your choreography! It was nice to see a good balance of dancing and singing! (I had you finishing 1st in my finals ranking!)

Once again, great job to all the competing choirs in every division!!

**Side note** BD Purple-aires....Kicked butt!!! I've sang your opener and your ballad.....WOW! I see many more grand champ trophies in your future

I would like to shout out a congrats to Warren Central for their first sc contest. The volunteers were so nice and helpful.

After reading the comments, I would like to congrats the ladies groups. You don't get enough praise for your programs. Debtones-Outstanding. You are the most beautiful and elegant looking women's group I have ever seen. I can't believe how classy you look on stage. I don't see anyone being able to beat you this year. Looooooooooooooove your show. The sc contest is so cute. The transition into the last song is great, but you can see the girls go on from the side. Why not use fog to help cover them. One question-why have that guy on during the bugle boy song? He doesn't even play the bugle. He is very distracting to a wonderful performance by the ladies.

I am surprised by the lack of congratulatory comments to the winners. CGSS-Your performance was unbelievable, especially the night performance. The ballet was beautiful and the artistic creativity throughout the show was truely delightful. The marriage song is priceless. Congrats on your well deserved win!

I don't remember all of it, but they started with "The New World" from Songs For A New World, and also included "King of the World" from Songs From a New World as a guys number. They had extraordinary soloists, as usual.

I don't have the points spread, buuuuuuut

GC: Center Grove CG Sound System
1st RU: Lawrence Central Central Sound

4th RU: Plainfield Belles et Beaux

Single-Gender:
GC: Center Grove Debtones
1st RU: Lawrence Central Sweet Sensations
2nd RU: Anderson

Center Grove- much stronger performance than when I saw you at Danville two weeks ago. SPECTACULAR wedding number. You have great control over a show that is so demanding in every way. Great new ballad, fantastic ballad soloist. One of the most choreographically difficult shows I have EVER SEEN.

Lawrence Central - You've come a long way in the two years since I've seen you. Keep up the good work!

Plainfield - Came out of nowhere and put on a very energetic and strong show - I was surprised you didn't get a better placement, quite honestly.

Warren Central Connection itself was phenomenal - When I saw you come to the front of the stage during your ballad and just sing with such PASSION, I turned to my friend and said, "I expected NOTHING less." It was wonderful.
