GC:North Central: Wow. I loved the opener and the ballad. THe soloist is a gift from God. I really enjoyed your show. You def. deserved GC.
1RU:Dekalb: I liked your show. Umm. ya i liked it. Congrats on best visuals you were def. the cleanist group there. Your vocals at some points were kinda pitchy but overall nice show.
2RU:Franklin Central: I looooooooved it I had you in 2nd. I loved the opener even though everyone is doing that song this year. Your show was prob. the best put together show of the day. I loved the IU vs. Purdue song.
3RU:Warren Central: I love your guy's vocals. Visually not as entertaining this year. But still a good show.
4RU: Loved the 2nd number I had you guys getting 1 place higher. High energy show, good soloists, and very visually attractive even with a smaller group and no back drop.
Congrats to everyone.

TC Singer settle down. I simply added my opinion. Findlay and North Central were examples of other styles of show choir. Nothing that was directed to what you said. And I never said you said anything about Simon Cowell. It was a response to something earlier.
it was an awesome competition! i didn't get to see any of the other mixed groups competing, but ben davis rocked at the exhibition performance! i am in love with their set. from what i've heard, dekalb definitely earned visuals. people kept saying they were super clean!! cp still has some major cleaning to do. we just learned our closer last weekend! :/ anyways, everyone did an awesome job! i hope you all had as much fun as i did :]

The whole show had a very stagnant and anti-climactic feel to it, I was a little surprised to see them win. Either way, I'm a big fan of North Central's choirs and I look forward to seeing them again soon.

I don't remember enough about the rest to comment. There were a few groups that had major issues with the band overpowering the group, I want to say it was Highland but I'm not sure. Ben Davis has a stellar sound system set-up, so that might have worked against them in that regard.
FIRST OF ALL, general note to ALL GROUPS, when you are dipping your girls, make sure you are dipping them on the same level. I cannot express how many times I watched girls being dipped and some were WAY lower than others. It looks awful.
PIKE - Being that I am a Pike alum, I may be a bit biased, but overall, I loved their show. It looked like so much fun to do on-stage. Since I saw that Ben Davis show a couple years back, I've ALWAYS wanted drums on-stage. They were given really good material (Kudos to Mr. Stainbrook). The male ballad soloist (who was normally the second guy from the right in the front row) danced the show way harder than anyone else. He was amazing and I kept watching him because you could tell he believed in the show and he loved it.

NORTH CENTRAL - I have to agree with whoever posted earlier about North Central having an AMAZING opener (as per usual) but a lackluster closer. I LOVED the one female soloist (I don't remember what song it was but if you saw the show you know who I'm talking about). The guys in the silver suits....awkward. I mean I get it and it was fun and funny, but when they first walked up, I felt like I was at one of those super artsy museums where you don't know if the bench is really a bench or a piece of art you aren't supposed to touch.
ANDERSON HIGHLAND - Congrats on one of my favorite shows of the day. I loved the closer outfits. I loved the guys number. I loved the female soloist towards the end (in the closer outfit). Your band was a little overpowering.
FRANKLIN CENTRAL - First off, I love Franklin Central, I think Mr. Griffel is one of the nicest directors I have ever met. Their show was good (I love to watch Damon shows because it really makes me feel like I'm back in show choir because I remember those moves) and it was probably one of the choreographically cleanest shows of the day. The band was really good but a little overpowering at times. The Purdue-IU number was really cute, and congrats on not getting those little flipbook things mixed around because I know I totally would have. I loved the closer dresses.
DEKALB - Again, as someone said, typical DeKalb show. Good choreo, okay vocals. I wasn't as impressed as I expected to be. Hate to sound real Simon Cowell, but it was forgettable.
WARREN CENTRAL - Warren was, in my mind, one of the best of the day. I love a good hat dance. I was really sad that the violin wasn't right up on the mike, because I wanted to hear it. The two male soloists who sang separately then together, they were really good individually, but they voices didn't mesh together. Congrats on the female soloist who won best soloist within a show, you should be very proud, you were amazing.
That's about all my little brain can remember. Let me state, how weird it is to go to comp where both Brownsburg and Zionsville don't make it to finals.
Nc your show just didn't flow to me at all and in times your dancing was a little sloppy don't get me wrong your still amazing I just didn't see you getting GC your opener AMAZING but after that it just didn't do too much for me.
Fc def. Not your best weekend so far this season I really would have liked to see you step it up your sho by far was the best you just didn't have that spark we have seen this season your vocals were not up to the par we've seen choreo was strong though step it up next week because you def. Could have won this contest if you stepped it up

This was my first time seeing Counterpoints in person, and they absolutely blew me away. I couldn't tell you all of their songs because I didn't recognize some of them, but they started off with "Oh, Fortuna" from Carmina Barana (spelling?) and the guy's number was Lovestoned by Justin Timberlake. Their show was amazing.
Dekalb and Franklin Central both did quite well too, I enjoyed their shows, especially FC's IU vs. Purdue number. I didn't get a chance to see Warren in this comp, but I saw them at Edgewood and they were solid.
Even though they came last in finals, I think Highland Singers could take plenty of positive away from this competition. They had to leave out their second number when they competed at Edgewood, and they debuted it well at this competition.

Franklin Central, very proud of you guys today! You stepped your show up great in finals, but it just wasn't our day. Great schools all around, excellent judging panel, and no complaints at all.
