Rockville, MD is actually 2x closer to Martinsburg than Morgantown is... but no offense taken

Unfortunately, I don't have any contacts with the current crop of students @ Martinsburg, so I mostly get my info on Martinsburg's competitions on here.

Their competition is usually a smaller-scale competition (I don't think they have a finals round) with ~10 high school groups. So, it's not surprising that there isn't much coverage of it.

dude, that's my hometown!

Here's an article on it. Says there were 25 schools....

I really don't know much about what happened there as far as who went. I know Manchester, usually goes there.

Thanks for the info. I also looked in the East Coast forum, but that one had almost nothing about ANY competitions, so I opted for the high volume Midwest. I'm an alum of a HS in Rockville, Md., and I sure do wish there were more competing show choirs from VA, MD, DC, PA *sigh*.

I don't know where Martinsburg is (I will in 5 min. after I visit Mapquest), so any offense was unintended. Anyway, if you DO manage to find the results, please post them...as an alum of the host school, I bet you could get them for me ;)

Thanks
Dan

I don't know about the results, but I cringe a bit seeing a competition at Martinsburg listed in the "Midwest" section. I know a case can be made for most WV competitions being listed in that section, but Martinsburg's just too far removed geographically from most of the rest of the state - and most of the choirs that compete there are from what I would consider the "East" region (VA, MD, eastern WV mostly)

I heard that Manchester was going to be there, along with local schools Mussleman, Hedgesville, and Jefferson (and, so it seems, Morgantown).

I see no mention of this competition anywhere on the Midwest or East Coast boards. I heard that my Morgantown Images got a trophy, and would love it if someone could report the details. Thanks! Dan
