To anyone who is interested:
Spanish Fork found a choir teacher who will keep the show choir program running. The Spanish Fork Ambassadors will be run by the new teacher, and our current teacher Mr. Lunt is transferring to ALA, (which is in the same city by the way) and will have his show choir there. So I guess we will see how it all turns out to have two competing show choirs in the same city. Just FYI if anyone was interested.

ha ha thank you! Much appreciated! I am assuming that you heard that from the post I made in a previous forum. As Jacob already mentioned, our director is switching schools, so it is true what you heard. The Spanish Fork Ambassadors wont be around any longer after this year.

That is sad to hear. Your shows are so exciting to watch and are always very original. I remember your show in 2005 when we competed against you guys in FAME Los Angeles and I was amazed at the talent and excitement you brought to the stage. Best of luck and hopefully you all can get a new director that is interested in keeping your tradition.

Thank You! I for some reason heard the Ambassadors weren't going to be around much longer, but you answered it for me

Vocabulary lesson of the day: Defunct - no longer in effect, or use

My Vision is sung by: Seal, but I believe Jakatta is in there as well. I thought I heard The Ambassadors won't be around much longer. Guess I was wrong (whatelse is new?) ;)

Awesome, thank you!

I know "One Vision" was done by Queen, but I didn't know who sang "My Vision". Mt. Zion did it as well so I wanted to put that on my ipod...it's a great song! I heard it randomly playing one day in a mall.

Ambassadors will still be but they only thing is that our director is switching schools and our school is being split due to over population.

congrats to spanish fork! did you guys only go to LA and Branson this year?

Thanks so much! Yes, we only attended LA and Branson. We feel very privelaged though, because in past years we have only been able to go to one competetion a year. Like last year, Branson was the only one we went to.

Spanish Fork: you guys were awesome! Congrats for winning. You were all super nice to Plainfield and your show was fantastic!

Hey, good job to you guys as well! And for getting best vocals! You honestly amazed me! It was an honor to compete with you guys!

What did everyone think of the University Singers? Why is Spanish Fork becoming defunct? What was Jenks show? Light?

Yes, I would have to echo the confusion stated previously as to what you mean by becoming defunct? Sorry, I don't have a dictionary with me on hand, and my vocabulary is horrible! " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

As for the University Singers, I thought they were okay. They definately had talent, only I did not find very much energy coming from their show. And it was a very long show. They also didn't seem to have very many dynamics or anything, which made the show kind of bland. There was this one way sweet part where the guitarist came up and started singing, and I really liked that part! Hey, he was good! haha. But I was probably more impressed with the Middle School show choir that was co-hosting the competition. Those kids had killer diction, and their dancing was pretty dang impressive!

What do you mean by "why is Spanish Fork becoming defunct"?

Jenks had like a "tropical/island/getaway" kind show. Their opener was "Havannah" by Linda Eder, their ballad was "Sailing/Come Sail Away", and their closer was "I Go To Rio". That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Their outfits were quite nifty....all 3 of the ladies dresses were so beautiful, and the guys looked very sharp in their 3 costume change suites as well.

LIGHT didn't so much have theme, but they did have a some hairspray songs in the mixed of their show. Their opener was "Unwritten/Promise Of A New Day" by Natasha Bettingfield and Paula Abdul, then went into several selections from Hairspray-"Nicest Kids In Town", "I Know Where I've Been"-(their ballad), something else, but I can't remember. Then the guys went into an "Osmonds" medley, then girls joined in later on in their medley. Then their closer was "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" by Elton John. They did such a great job! They made me cry during the ballad, but then once the Elton John song came on, I was happy and wanting to get up there and dance with them 'cuz they had such great energy.

Spanish Fork did an amazing job as well! I REALLY REALLY REALLY enjoyed the theme of your show. It really made me feel something, but yet you also had the show choir aspect in their as well. You told a great story through each one of your songs, and I loved it! I was really impressed that like 10 girls on the front row of the closer did like 4 pieroets (sp). This show really showed the theatrical, vocal, and dancing sides of your group...AWESOME JOB!

Could someone from Spanish Fork tell me who sings "My Vision"...I've been looking for it for a couple of years, but have had no luck. I would appreciate it, thanks!

The version we do is done by Queen! And thank you so much for all the nice things said!!!

Premier did so amazing! Congrats to them! And good job to LIGHT for getting 2RU, Best Male Stage Presence, Best Male Soloist, and Best Diction! They are so cool and totally deserved to make it in! I only thought that Jenks should have placed higher than they did. I loved their show, and they were so completely talented! Good job everyone who competed! It was a blast to compete with everyone!
