Here's video of Northrop from Bluffton. If anyone has Dekalb/ Columbia City/ Norwell please post it, it would be great to see them!

Jersey Boys Medley
C'mon Everybody
Dust In The Wind
Time Warp

*Please remember this is September, and the Bluffton Street Fair is more about having fun and letting new people experience performing than it is anything else.

I love answering my own questions!!!

Grand Champions- Dekalb
1st Runner Up- Northrop
2nd Runner Up- Columbia City

Apparently the points were "razor thin".

Judges-
Betty McKee (music teacher at Northwood Middle School in Fort Wayne)
Kim Durr (Bluffton)
Abby Ehinger (a veteran choreographer and participant along with Durr in Wells Community Theatre productions.)

Dekalb's Show-
"Everyday"
"Sing/I Can Do That"
"REACH"
"Start Jumpin/Move Your Feet"

If anyone wants to know, the show Dekalb did is basically the '04 show they competed in regular season with the exception of the second number which they did the year prior to that! Congrats to Dekalb on another win at Bluffton!

The song "Reach" was originally performed by Gloria Estefan. It was the theme song for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia.

(And no, I did not Google that information. I fell in love with the song the minute Gloria sang it.)

Are there other placings, or is GC the only thing given out?

So, Bluffton was amazing... like always. Everyone at Northrop was so excited and happt afterwards. The only group I kinda got to see was Columbia City, because we were waiting backstage when you guys were on, and you sounded amazing! We really liked your Jersey Boys medley ;)

Dekalb, congrats on another win at Bluffton, from what I heard from Charisma alumni you guys really brought your best!

And I got to ride the zipper, the greatest carnival ride ever, so that made my night! I hope everyone else enjoyed this little ice-breaker for whats to come this year...

DeKalb won.

They pretty much mopped the stage with all the other groups. You knew within the first 30 seconds of DeKalb's performance that they wanted it, and so they sealed the deal. So much more energy than all the other groups! Nice showing. Great job.

Looks like I don't lose my life!!!! Thanks Dekalb!

At Northrop we have a completely different fall show. We start working on it a few weeks during the summer and then we have intense practices for the few weeks leading up to Bluffton. And next week we start on our competition show pinch.gif so not really much of a break...

I hope we do really good kind of nervous though cuz of my first year as you know but ive seen the years before and we are completely a different group.....Good luck.......Whooo

Is everyone putting a special show together for their shows tonight or previewing some songs for this years comp show plus some from last years? Just curious how these shows so early in the school year are put together.

Pretty sure Norwell is a host choir, we can't wait to see your show, pretty excited about getting this year started for competitions. You guys always have a fun show, very entertaining, we always cheer you guys on. Good luck tomorrow and lets have a good time ok??

Well, seeing as they've won the last ten, I guess that puts them as the favorite
But if Norwell performs like they did at the end of the year last year, and if we bring our best from Northrop, I think there are several ways it could go... so I wouldn't quite bet my life on anything ;)

EDIT: I think Norwell may be a host choir... I can't remember
