Welcome to my life. After coming home at 7:30 this morning from working all night waiting on you show choir kids, I didnt even go to sleep either. Too wound up from working for 14 hours straight, too happy with my nice thick wad of cash and literally so tired that I couldnt sleep. I heard all about MoShow as well. One of the first things I shouted(over the roar of chatter, laughter and screaming) to my first table was WHO WON. my brother is a 10th Street alum and is thrilled to hear they won. Nicely done 10th Street, you deserve it.

I thought you were going to call in or quit mid-shift?

Just got home from Perkins.
Tremendous Twelve never disappoints!
And congratulations to all of the groups that competed. Mo-Show never disappoints. The weather was a little chilly, but still nice and sunny. And overall it was a good day for show choir.
And I just decided that it isn't even worth going to sleep. I'm just gonna stay up.

Mo Show is always such a fun competition. It was nice finally returning after 4 years of Davenport West's absence.

Just a few thoughts-

Linn Mar- FINALLY! After all the years of coming in First & Second Runner Up... you grab the win! The show is fantastic. Clean, polished, and energized. I am in love with your first three songs. The last two are great as well... they didn't lose energy like they have in past years. Props to Kelsey and Diandre. You two are both so talented and have wonderful futures ahead of you. Bob Anderson, you pick fantastic shows that fit your kids perfectly. You deserved this win!

La Crosse Central- You guys are a wonderful group of hard working kids. You looked and sounded beautiful yesterday. The points were all so tight. I know I'm biased since he's my good friend, but Cameron Arndt is the best performer. (I like to watch KC Peck too). Gabriel sounded great last night! The best I've heard it yet! Good luck at East... and it's been fun competing with you guys everywhere!

Janesville Craig- Wow wow wow! This was my first time watching you live and I am extremely impressed. Your show was one of the most entertaining of the day. I caught both day and night performances and there was so much improvement between both! I think your costumes are fantastic (the girls' dresses are gorgeous). The show design was really cool, everything flowed so well. I thought the ballad was beautiful, and your performers connected with the audience like pros. Your band sounded awesome. I'm just a big fan... not quite as much as your parents though. My only constructive criticism would be to keep working on those vocals. Sometimes I felt the sound was a bit weak or not mature enough. (that was more in the day round, the ballad was better at night, but overall, the show could use more of it). You guys are dynamite and I can't wait to see you guys next year.

Milton- You had a very solid show. Vocals, Choreography, Energy, and Band were all there in full force. The show just doesn't do it for me. But, I have no doubt that you will do very well in Florida!

Davenport West kids had a really fun day. Thanks Mo Show!

Wow, so I must say congratulations to everyone!

Linn-Mar : I've never seen your show in person before, but I have watched that opener of yours on youtube. I would agree with what everyone else says...it is much, much better in person. And the soloist for your ballad....AMAZING! I was simply stunned at his voice. I got chills. =]

Dubuque : You guys were great ... I loved 'Bang on the Drum All Day' - one of my favorite songs. And when I heard your 'fake ballad' music start, this huge grin came to my face. I remember watching a few of my friends perform that in GCS in my freshman year, and it became my favorite show choir song. Your execution of it was just what I was expecting it to be. Good job.

Spotlighters : I had never seen your show until last night, but I was very impressed. Your choreography was very clean and very together. And your vocal dynamics were stunning.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see any of the other groups, but from what I heard, everyone was meeting the audience's standards.

And a final note to my fellow GCS-ians : Wow...I don't know how the rest of you feel, but I think that was our best show by far. It just felt like everything connected. The balance between us and the band was perfect. Choreography seemed to click with everyone else on stage. Our dynamics (especially in 'Out There') seemed effective. And it felt like everyone was contributing and connecting with the music. I was watching a tape of our show and saw some amazing facials from people, both veterans and 'babies'. It was a very, very close competition. So, lets work hard this week, pump it up for next week, and finish our season with a bang. =D

Congratulations Janesville!! You guys really impress me each year seeing how your show grows and changed and develops more and more! It's so fun to watch you guys succeed each year, considering the first year I saw you was in 2006! Congrats again, you guys missed Milton at Brodhead by....what....? One spot, and this weekend ya got em! A little neighborly, friendly rivalry never hurt anyone right?

Congrats to Milton too, your guys show is awesome this year, and is so strong...good Luck at Showstoppers next weekend...too bad your not at Fame Orlando instead, then I'd get to watch you again!

i just got home, hooray

Linn Mar- Congrats on the GC. The shows has started to grow on me more and more. I enjoyed it a lot and it was very close between you and GCS.

GCS- This is the first time i got to see you this year and I must say I was very happy and impressed. The things that you do year to year makes me excited to watch your shows. I know this probly isn't the results you wanted to have happen. I am in love with your brown suits (guys) and the opening dresses for the girls. Way to go Cam with your solo, i loved it. The scores were very tight. I can't wait to see you next year, and it was also great to talk to Mr. Esser.

Janesville- It is fun to see how the show's have been going for you the last few years, and you seem to always do very well here at Washington. I must say tho, on a note besides your show, your parents were... to be blunt, some of the worst parents i have dealt with in ages. I don't know if this is a common occurance, but they kicked us out of our seats because we weren't affiliated with your group. We were in the 3rd row (first 2 were the only saved spots). I was very upset by this, and because of this i was forced to sit up high. The sound was good and dancing was alright, i personally don't think it should have been in 3rd...

Milton- I am an instant fan of your show. From the first beat my attention was drawn to the show. The opener was very high energy and one of the best openers of the year. I was afraid it would die after but it didn't the energy stayed up there for a long long time! The ballad was very well written and performed (props to Damon!). This whole year i have become more and more in love with your work Damon, the many styles you do with different groups is just awesome.

Davenport West- I LOVED it. I sent Adam (Jorge) a text. I was very impressed with the opening solist (best female) and just the whole show was very good. The ballad was a favorite of the year. The biggest "flaw" to your show was the novelty, I felt as if it killed the wonderful momentum you had going for ya. But very nice transition from Spelling Bee to the closer. one of my favorite shows of the year! I can't wait to see the next few years.

Western Dubuque- Good job to make finals. I enjoyed the closer, the buckets were cool. Would have been nice to see your parent section that came, to cheer for you.

Linn Mar "In Step"- Great job with the show, i enjoyed it quite a bit, the vocals were there but covered up by the band and your choreo wasn't the cleanest, but it was a fun show. Linn Mar has some wonderful performers that will go into 10th Street. Don't think we have to worry about that for some time.

Overall I was impressed with the groups that came out and performed for us, not what most people thought when they first read the schedule. It was great to meet a lof of you Milton kids. Can't wait to see Adam and Cameron at FAME!

Milton, I know you didn't finish as high as you wanted, but shake it off, cause "We're Going To DISNEYWORLD!!" Seriously, think about how you can make the show better this week, and we'll meet in Orlando Thursday and I'm confident you'll do fantastic at Showstoppers!!

Also, congrats to Ben Schrank and Craig for what must've been a dynamite showing. God Bless, Damon Brown
