FAME is a tour company specializing in music ensembles. They happen to have show choir competitions in various areas in the US. check out their website to see more about them

I would actually have to say that "Hip Street" was in my top 3 for girls groups...They were really good. I liked the brief cases!

P.S. Alltimelow--your signature is sweet.

Why thank you!

The way you are placed in the schedule may influence your performance, but the choir should be able to face that challenge. The judges probably didn't let the audio problems influence their judging drastically either.

I just have to say this about FAME Chicago Competition...I have to say that our girls group totally got screwed over...

Because of whatever reason, the group from Manchester that was supposed to go first, ended up going last...and the sound technichian was not doing a thing that our director was asking him to do, until FAME officials actually stepped in and told him to, and by then, the girls were on their closer. They pulled off a fantastic show and had they gone later in the day, they definitely would've made top 3...however manchester's girls still would've won, they were just amazing.

As for mixed...we made it into finals by chance...haha. Our closing soloists didn't even come out and we had the girl who had the solo in the previous number sing because she still had the mic in her hand...lol...but yea...I am happy with what the results were...aside from the Single-Gender!

I cried during both (I am definitely a sucker for ballads)...I watched Mt. Zion during prelims and was like, "Aww!" I think our director cried too. Then I saw Sullivan's and I was like, "Okay, I'm not going to cry," but I did. Good thing I didn't have to reapply my makeup, though, right? ;)

I did during Sullivan's Ballad.

I liked Mt.Zions better than ours even though it was similar, but i love theirs better.

I was crying like a little baby during Mt. Zion's ballad. SERIOUSLY. Amazing. Definitely downloaded that on iTunes.

Plus, space on the sides of the stage was nonexistent, so the costume change was probably the worst it's been for us this year. Enough about us...I'm over it since I had such a good time afterwards. Shout outs to the Manchester girl who did my friend's hair and helped me with my makeup, the Bloomington-Jefferson parents I sat with during some of finals, and most of all Ricky from Sullivan -- not only are you super fun to hang out with, you can dance on a broken riser -- you rock!

i KNOW him.......lol

Eau Claire--We had problems.

We hadn't actually seen the stage beforehand (we couldn't load in on FRIDAY) and so we didn't know where to put our extras (hence everything on the sidewalk if you saw that) We alos put huge amounts of energy into our warmup and then our timeslot was pretty tough IMO. It just wasn't our normal show. Our energy was down, vocals were way down. It just wasn't us...

ANYWAY--Everyone else was amazing. Here's my placings and captions (I watched finals).

GC- Sullivan (BV, BC)
1RU- Manchester
2RU- Mt. Zion
3RU- Bloomington Jefferson (BB)
4RU- Lawrence North
5RU- Gretna

Bloomington Jefferson -

WOW, what a year! I'm so proud of the hard work, dedication and determination you all exhibited throughout this season. As always, it has been my pleasure to work with you this year.

Congrats!

Oh - because someone up there asked:

Sullivan's show:

Smile
Hernando's Jive
When you Come Home
and a Rolling Stones Medley, which was a lot of fun.

Is their ballad the Mark Schultz "When You Come Home"?
