In 48 hours Fusion will be well on their way to Cedar Rapids. We are staying in the Crown Plaza Cedar Rapids - Five Seasons. Does anybody know if "Top of the Five" and "Front Street Lounge", the 2 restaurants in the hotel, are any good? And what are the prices?

Totino-Grace and Grand Island plus all the judges for this competition are all rumoredly staying there too. I've never been to the restaurants in there, but I am guessing they are pretty expensive. The closest things I can think of are Taco Bell, Gringo's (a nice mexican restaurant with WONDERFUL margaritas.... not like I'd know), Also, a bit farther away but within walking distance (at least I've walked that far) are like Arby's, Wendy's, McDonalds, KFC.... I can't remember what else, but that's pretty much where all the kids at Washington go out for lunch everyday. There probably is other stuff but I don't really eat downtown. I live like 15 minutes away from your hotel.

I actually have been to Zoeys... and had a Zookie before... it was even with Jay.

It tasted like dirt.

The end.

oh w/e you liked it!!! you were just mad about bad Culvers lol.

Ana, I would be glad to deliver zookies but unfortunately they do not deliver.... zookies are made in a hot metal pan. also I'm pretty sure my car can't fit 50 zookies. Also, I would steal zookies just for Jeni and you and a few others (obviously not adam) but you have yet to tell me where you are staying. Possibly if you tell me I'll bake special Totino cookies for everyone on Friday (cuz like I have anything better to do.)

Jay, we'll need enough Zookies to feed 48 singers, 14 instrumentalists, a crew of 23, 4 directors, and one judge.

We'll need those at about 9pm.

We'll need them to be free.

Thanks.

Is it completely horrible that I've been there on many occasions and have never ordered a zookie? I think it is. Prehaps that shall have to change this weekend. Oh, and another note...rain on saturday? gross. Let's hope the show choir gods will be kind and not put a damper on the lovely weekend to come. " border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

How absolutely pathetic is it that this thread made me realize that Linn-Mar is called "Tenth Street Edition" because Linn-Mar is on 10th Street in Marion?

I never really thought about it until I saw it written like that. I am way too slow...

I figured it out just this year myself.
And I told one of my friends who went to school there, that had no idea that is why it was called that.

Don't feel bad, lol.

cj-mckay... You are the number one poster in this topic with 38 posts. You ask lots of questions.

Just pointing that out.

I am impressed with myself. I didn't know I posted that much. And zookies sound really good!!

directions from either Washington or Jefferson (its really easy):

Jefferson: go out of the parking lot... go straight. Turn right on 1st Ave (possibly it's called Williams Blvd at that point). Keep going east on 1st Ave forever, until it becomes Marion Blvd and 7th Ave in Marion (the road has many names but is just the same road). When you get to 10th St in Marion (its a stop light) turn right and Zoey's is right there on the corner...

Washington (from the parking lot closest to the gym): Turn right on Cottage Grove Ave. Turn right on 1st Ave. Follow directions from Jefferson.

Washington is like 10/15 minutes directly east of Jefferson. Both schools are a block off the main road in Cedar Rapids (1st Ave)

Zoey's...

Directions:
Go to Linn-Mar
Turn Around
Head back into Marion on 10th Street
When you get to the square look for a place called Zoey's

Unfortunately Jay, we're really mean at Totino-Grace, so those kids will not be stepping a foot outside of the hotel once we get there. Maybe just drive fast to our hotel before the ice cream melts?

haha, there's no way we get out of that hotel unless ana has us on Binkie Binkerson's leash
