After recently rewatching center grove on dvd, i cant understand how people can care for their show. All they do is sing about how good they think they are and make fun of show choir. show choirs making fun of show choirs, never understood that concept. Then when you think it cant get anymore pointless, they throw in a rap song and scream into the mic. Wow what talent for that number. Dont get me wrong i think they performed their show well, i just think the show its self is just plain retarded. Who ever picks their songs should be fired because they could be far more entertaining than they are.

You are perfectly entitled to your opinion but out of considerations sake, please be a little more discerning in what you say about other groups! Yes, I am a CG fan and I like their show but I think it would behoove you to just be nice and positive! If that's hard then just be mature and don't say anything. Some of the things you said about CG could so easily be applied to HN's show and I'm certain that you wouldn't want any forum members to voice disparaging thoughts about HN. It's probably best that you keep what negative things you have to say to yourself and among your fellow choir members!

I just have to ask after reading CHEERALUM's post. What is Winfield's show this year? I didn't make it any of your competitions. I do know that Jeff comes up with the most original ideas. I have to say that the "High School" show has been my favorite.

Center Grove: You guys continue to impress me...even though i wasnt a big fan of the practically perfect song or the ballad, the guys number to the end of the show made me love it so much! your guys are tight as hell! keep it up and congrads on the win!

Laff Jeff:ummmm yea im pretty sure my ears were bleeding after the finals show...im not a big fan of you show, there was just no dynamic contrast at ALL, it was all in your face Fortissimo the entire time...when i would look around and half of the audience had their fingers in their ears and tend to think maybe this is not a good idea, but i mean do what you do...i think yall should have been a little lower in the standing, and whats with shooting crap off the stage? what happend to the day when you couldnt do that i thought that was a show choir like RULE? you did have some good soloists tho, and whats with all the changes from the day to the night show? not the laff jeff of old if you ask me

Dekalb: your show was pretty good, vocals were awesome, but i just wasnt pulled into the show...

Plainfield: Awesome show during the evening, i saw a few mishaps but i heard that floor was slicker than dog **** all day, vocals are TREMENDOUS on the ballad and you really sell it! Little Bonez Your bass solo is prolly my favorite part of the entire show!!! Great job and i think yall should be up a spot or two

Whiteland: this just proves to me that yall should be in the Mixed division and not the small varsity crap! yall need to stop playin with the little groups and move up with the big boys where you belong!!! Awesome show this year i loved it!

Winfield: ummm lets see show choir for dummies?....Rule #176 never do an ENTIRE NOVELTY SHOW!!! Yall had good vocals, and ok visual but I REALLY wanted to jump off a tall tall building head first! I mean yea it was a cool idea, but i think ya just took it to far, by the end of the show i was thinking what just happend...to the soloist...maybe its just ur accent but your vowel on the word ChiOR just didnt sound right to me...it sounded like you needed to drop your jaw a little more and make it more of O sound than I sound...Congrads on making finals again its nothing personal i just didnt like the show

Debtones, another great week! I'll see you guys tomorrow for our final cleaning session before Florida, so get ready to put on some final touches! Super job!

Winfield, solid finish! Keep pushing for your final couple contests and see what your show is capable of becoming. I'm proud of you guys. God Bless, Damon Brown

What a great competition this one was! I couldn't miss it... three of my favs were there... CG, LJ, and Dekalb.

RESULTS:

Grand Champion: Center Grove Sound System
2nd: Lafayette Jefferson First Edition
3rd: Dekalb Classic Connection
4th: Plainfield Belles et Beaux
5th: Whiteland Rhythm Masters
6th: Winston

Best Vocal Sound: Center Grove Sound System
Best Choreography: Center Grove Sound System
Best Show Concept: Lafayette Jefferson

Center Grove you guys amaze me... everytime its better!

Lafayette Jeff... you were REALLY loud tonight. Loved the show, but not so much the singing.

Dekalb you were hot tonight. I thought you should have come in second. Love your closing change! Fun!

Plainfield you sang well, keep it up!

Whiteland all of you should be proud. Does anyone know that the winners of these divisions are all from the same area in Johnson County (Greenwood and Whiteland).

Winston... didn't see you, but heard it was cool.

Great job Southwestern on a great contest!
