Points on the 1200 point scale looked like this...

1st- Urbandale (1123)
2nd- La Crosse Central (1117)


Congrats to both groups!!


To be clear, they didn't go on rankings at all, that's just how each judge had each group placed. Also, a little more info:

2 Judges Had GCS up by 2 points
2 Judges Had Urbandale up by 2 points
1 Judge had GCS ahead by 1 point
1 Judge had Urbandale ahead by 7
= 6 points difference

WAY TO GO STUDIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got Mr Woodin's message at about 2 am and it took me TWO HOURS to go back to sleep. I can't begin to tell you all how proud I am of you, and how proud you should be of this championship. GCS is just about as good as it gets, Mike Esser is a great man and an unbelievable director, and Mike Weaver is a choreographer I look up to alot. It was a battle of 2 great champions, and I'm just very happy for you guys. Get fired up for Florida, and ride the Rock-n-Roller Coaster for me! God Bless, Damon

yeah waukee was about ten times more intense than it usually is, concidering last year's grand champion of 2 years (SE Polk) was not even in finals. Congrats to Studio!! i was pulling for GCS but thats just me...

Last weekend Urbandale switched their finals order because they had two groups (prep and varsity), so the band, and crew, and logistics wouldn't work out. Guessing it's the same thing.

wow, this competition sounds intense! i cant believe how finals results ended up...congrats to urby! that is one thing that has alllllways impressed me about urbandale; they always know how to really turn on that energy when it comes time for finals...i really admire that about them.
