John you never seize to amuse me.

Cease, seize, to-ma-to, to-mah-to.
Who's counting?

Jeez I'm just in a nitpicky mood tonight. Helps distract me from homework

A special thank you to all of the groups who attended our competition at East High. Your willingness to eat our food, buy items at our boutique, and have a fun filled snowy day, made our competition at least partially successful. While we always wish we could have a completely successful invitational, our parents and students still shined with great class and style. Many smiles, lots of laughter and good attitudes led to one of our most memorable invites in a long time. Hopefully our next invitational will be memorable for the heat, rather than the snow.

We hope those of your who attended had a good time, had great hosts and enjoyed performing at our school. We will look forward to hosting you and your friends again in coming years. We hope to see some of the shows we missed yesterday on our remaining competition circuit, if not, we certainly wish you the very best for success in the coming weeks.

Many wishes for no snow on upcoming show choir weekends!!

Sincerely,

Heath Weber, Marta Nelson, Erin Nelson, Tom Miller and the East High Show Choirs

Friday
12:30 Load Bus
6:00 Arrive at Hotel
7:00 Eat 14 breadsticks and soup at Olive Garden
10:00 Dance Party in my hotel room. Shut down as expected after three songs

Saturday
8:00 Leave Hotel
8:15 Arrive at school, learn some groups have dropped. Best host room of the year.
9:30ish Watch Divaz.
10:30 Hear CR Xavier is not coming, there will only be 9 groups, and no finals.
2:00ish Perform
3:00 After Critique, Warren tells us we have 15 minutes to load everything on the bus. If we wait longer we may not make it out
3:30 My parents are the only citizens of Hastings, Minnesota left in the school. We are traveling.
5:00 I get a call from my mother. 1RU Papillion Sweep
7:00 After going 12 miles an hour on the highway, we stop at a hotel in Fairmont, Minnesota
11:00 Parent takes my speaker. I am sad.

Sunday

8:00 Wake Up
8:20 Penny the girls next door to us into their room. They cannot escape. Funny.
9:00 Eat at Perkins
10:30 Leave
11:00 I play "Let is Snow" on the boombox. Laughter ensues. The choir is happy.
11:45 We do The Hustle in the aisle of the bus while it is moving. Choir is still happy.
1:00 We hear we will be returning home soon. "Call your parents, and tell them to go to the high school and start digging cars out."
1:45 Arrive at high school. Snow is knee deep. Choir not that happy. Tired
2:10 Arrive home.

Longest competition of my life. Sad we didn't win. Good hosts. Tired.

48 hrs of show choir= a lot of show choir.

All times approximate*

great job to all the groups ive herd alot about papillion (spelling) didnt u guys make finals at hastings to.....And hastings i Love ur novelty numbers im my opinion probably the best one this year u and waconia have awesome ones..

Im so mad we couldnt come becasue i believe that the school had to change some things because of me...... i broke my elbow due to the bleachers and i think that they had to change alot of stuff because of me and i kind of wanted to see what happened with that

Also i loved your school it was very nice and a very well put together competition the solo competition was a very cool idea i havent seen it replicated anywhere ive been....i also loved the HEADLINERS when i saw them to be honest i still watch their show from 2 years ago and i was really looking forward to seeing it this year o well (STUPID SNOW) maybe next year

Final Results:

GC: Papillion La Vista "Free Spirit"
1RU: Hastings "Riverside Company"
2RU: Westwood
3RU: Hastings "Divaz"
4RU: Papillion's prep

I heard that Papillion La Vista swept, but I'm not 100% sure.
