I know we were only 6 points behind WW and about 30 points ahead of Mt. Zion at the end of prelims!

it was a great competition!

I agree. Troy was an awesome competition. So many great groups. It's always nice to see some new groups too. The directors and kids from Jenks were some of the nicest, most cordial people I've ever met. They represented their school very well. Everyone there was terrific! Hope we all come back next year!

Sounds like it was pretty close then... if I remember from Troy's prelim score sheets, it's in the high hundreds. Like 500s or something like that... so a 6 or 30 point difference is not much. Someone correct me if I'm wrong?

All I have to say is.. WOW SI!! Congratz!! Love that a Women's group can go out there and strut there stuff!!

Thanks! Actually SI tied Mt Zion during finals, but to give placements they added in the prelims score, which is why they beat us. Otherwise it was a super fun competition!

Correction: SI Tied Jenks, and won the tie in prelims. The announcers made it sound like SI tied Mt Zion for second, but that was incorrect.

The competition results were incorrectly entered into the SCC event info (Best Vocals was won by ATSC but were recorded as going to WW), anyone know how to have this corrected?

anyone know finalists?

Finalists are:
Wheaton Warrenville
ATSC
Mt. Zion
SI (Omaha Westside womens)
Jenks
Parkway Central

I also know SI won the womens division and ATSC won best opener, best diction, and best female soloist went to Megan Tantillo from ATSC.

I heard there was at least one cancellation as afternoon groups were moved up 30 minutes.

Anyone know which choir?

Jenks frequents the FAME circuit alot, (they kind of have to they're in a void of non-show choir states). I do believe they're a Chad Alexander group...

who the heck is Jenks and where are they from? Have the ever competed here before? Certainly got a good time slot for a group I've never heard of before!!

Im kinda pumped to see how this one shakes out.... too bad I have to work, otherwise I might drive up but alas.... i need gas $$ lol

Jenks I believe is from Oklahoma and no they have never competed at our competition/invitational (Troy). But they are really amazing so this will be a tough competition this year.
