Anybody have comments on the shows? I hardly got to see any choirs (only 2 of the finalists due to our performance times, both during the day and at night), Wahlert and Kennedy.

I was extremely impressed with Wahlert's show especially considering their school size. Their tone and balance was crisp and even. It was a unique, interesting show that piqued my interest right from the start. You guys will do really well this season throughout 3A, and I hope I get to see the show again.

To Kennedy... what can I say? I love Happiness . You guys shot out choreo-wise and definitely earned your BC trophy. It was a very clean performance at night. You took some chances this year with your song selection and I liked the willingness to take it outside of the box. I got some laughs out of Unhappiness, too. The ballad (especially the soloist, wow) was amazing.

Scores weren't given out at the competition after finals. They're gonna be emailed to the directors.

Congrats to Xavier. I heard nothing but good things from all of the parents from kennedy that saw your show. It's gonna be another great competition next week. I'm sure of it.

My congrats to all your Xavier kids, way to step up this year. Way to take leadership, way to quiet the critics (just remember a note about Supernova saying all the talent graduated last year -- I'm flattered, but that is clearly not the case: way to show you don't need Ryan or Laura ) Way to go.

Haha that was me.... pinch.gif oh well. I'm really glad y'all proved me wrong!!!!!! Does anyone have scores?

I just wanna give my congratulations to all the groups that competed.

Special congratulations to Xavier. I'm so proud of all of you, it sounds like you improved tremendously over the last few weeks, and I could not be more proud. Finally, I might be able to stop hearing my friends telling me "yeah, Xavier's good, but when are they gonna beat Kennedy or Jefferson?" To all you people out there thinking I am saying "wow, Xavier is so great, they beat Kennedy and Jeff at one competition," I understand the history of the Xavier program is nowhere close to some of the other schools, and the program still has a long way to go, (I still won't forget my sophomore year of the Kennedy/Jefferson battle: Jefferson's "too darn hot," "raise the roof," etc. and Kennedy's "Run Freedom Run," "On the Streets of [our town]", two of my favorite shows to date.) but it is nice to know we can now compete with some of these show choir powerhouses and be a factor in many competitions. I realize it was one competition, but it is a great base, and I expect all of you Xavier kids to keep building of it.

Congratulations again, way to make all the alumni (i'm sure of it, I got 4 or 5 calls last night) and Mr. Last proud. You deserved it.

Thanks for everything to all the wonderful hosts at Benton and all the supporters we had today. I enjoyed watching all the groups I was able to. I was very impressed with Wahlert, considering their school's size, and Kennedy's choreography as well.

Looking forward to seeing the C.R. schools again next weekend.
