It's an exciting competitor list, with choirs that I have known well for the last ten years. It will be fun to watch. For those of you that are giving love to Luers for vocals and not choreo, keep an open mind until you see this years show! It truly is awesome and unique, and the choreography has steadily progressed, and is very competitive this year. Of course the vocals are stellar, particularly the blending. Homestead, Dekalb, FC, and all the other excellent choirs always have entertaining shows and I'm really looking forward to seeing them! Luers, you have the best show you have ever had (although those of you who know me know you are missing one gaston this year BADLY ). Congratulations on your GC at Findlay (against tougher competition, in my opinion, than your 1RU at Beaver Creek). I noted with interest your "best choreography" award along with your "best vocals" and "best solo" awards. I think you'll be right in the running this week at a great competition. See you there, its my 1st time at competition this year and I can't wait. Have FUN!!

is this my favorite father??:D we do miss you quite badly dear soul im super stoked to see your graduated self at the competition... ALTHO i think its so SAD that we have to hear from you on a public forum
thanks for the hope for this week andddd totally agree with the things about the other choirs mentioned... not just them but everyone else competing as well! NO ONE is going to settle for anyone less than perfection this weeked and by no one i dont mean just luers!

On another note:
Any one have any more predictions? i loveee loooking to see what people think!

okay not to be mean but honestly....we get it luers you won your first comp in like 6 years and you got best everything...I am kind of tired of hearing about it so if we could focus on this weekend that would be great....If you wanna be a jerk about winning that's how you do it right there

I would honestly slip Dwenger in for Carroll in the predictions. 'Busco's show is slow to start, but really kicks it in at the costume change. Dekalb didn't look as clean as usual in the day show at Busco, but were much better at night. Homestead and F.C. are always good. It will be a great competition! However, it is a struggle for those in ISSMA......

Thanks for that "kicks it" comment! And we're currently working on the slow start...

And I definitely agree about ISSMA. That's why I'm not going this year; it's too much of a hassle, and I'd much rather spend the day watching groups and relaxing before our second performance.

I'm thinking

GC: Franklin Central
1st: Dekalb
2nd: Homestead
3rd: Luers/Carrol
4th: Luers/Carrol
5th: Busco

I don't know tho...depending on the judges Luers could take 1st ru here....if the judges are more vocally based I can see Luers doing well...but if they take in visuals it may be difficult for them

I could be ( and hope I am) totally wrong, but I have a feeling, Luers won't place as well this week...

I have not seen any of these shows, but based purely off intuition I'm feeling...

GC: Franklin Central "F.C. Singers"
1RU: Dekalb "Classic Connection"
2RU: Bishop Luers "Minstrels"
3RU: Churubusco "New Era"
4RU: Carroll "Minstrel Magic"
5RU: Homestead "Class Royale"

Vocals: Franklin Central "F.C. Singers"
Visuals: Dekalb "Classic Connection"
Band: Franklin Central "F.C. Singers"

The top three are pretty hard to call...Dekalb could pull it off for the win, but basing off Busco, it's hard to tell. Visually they shouldn't have any problem handling this contest. I really hope Luers does as well as they did last week and really shake things up. Franklin Central is probably not any better than Dekalb or Luers, but they are usually more consistant, which is why I have them in the GC spot.
