Can someone tell me how Class A turned out? Someone told me that there was actually an extra group that added late or something...

you all are still not getting what im saying, the place we got has nothing to do with it, my personal opinion is our group did not deserve this spot becuz of the lack of motivation and determination. when it came to performance time they were messing around and then they got nervous and froze up. i think any one of those other groups should have gotten our place becuz they had the energy and the willingness to succeed, so i apologize if you took that the wrong way

I'm sure there were eight choirs full of kids who would have been happy with your spot in finals. I know you have already heard this but...that is just rude.

Thanks Kelsey, I agree.

doing our best, i know we werent doing our best at all. im not talking about the 6th place we got, im happy we made finals dont get me wrong, but we should work harder and go past what is expected of us, so maybe one day we can rival GCS or Totino

no dont take any of this out of context at all, i am proud we even made it to finals, i just say we shoot higher next time since we know we can get at least that

Hey! there's nothing wrong with aiming high!
but understand, that there are people who would be happy just to be there. " border="0" alt="ermm.gif" />

and you should have stopped me in the hallway! If i'd have seen you, I'd have stopped to talk! grrrr.... ohmy.gif

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Explain this... were you guys not supposed to make finals at Sauk or something???

(The only thing I can really think of is if Logan got a major penalty for using streamers into the audience.)

North Saint Paul- It's a fun show, but a lot of things need to be cleaned up vocally and choreography wise before you can place higher at competitions. I really liked "Slap That Bass" with the white ropes, but it was so messy. It was a neat concept. The flow of the show is really jumpy, not much you can do about that. Vocals in "Let's Dance" really need to be worked on. Remember... you are representing all of America show choirs when you travel to FAME London. Congrats on making finals.

North St. Paul- I liked the big elastic band thing you had going, it was cool. Some vocal and choreography problems, but overall, nice showing at your first competition!

Hey there! I'm in Northern Lights too and thanks for the honesty and the critique. And yeah, we really do need to work on vocals and cleaning choreography. We watched our perf. today and yeah, we saw A LOT of things that needed to be worked on too.

Could anybody give specific details such as songs and choreography that needs to be worked on for North Saint Paul, "Northern Lights" that would help us so much! thanks

A little off topic, but I love Sauk Prairie's gym basketball hoops in the backround.

i know..i asked during set up if that terribly massive basketball hoop was going to be covered and one of our alum said "no it never has been covered" which i thought was false but i guess not.
he also said "i cant wait every year to see if a group does a basketball piece/show and makes it into the hoop."
nice eh?

we do what we can, when it comes to anything from our basketball hoop of a background, to the whole school smelling like a clogged toliet flooded all over the school after finals.
gotta love us!

Well, it was a good competition, here are some thoughts:

Central- Nice job, you've been working hard, and it's paid off, congrats.

Ona- You all had me convinced I was going to see a terrible show. If it weren't for the announcer (and those opening costumes..) I wouldn't have known you were Onalaska based on what I heard. You guys were great, and Mr. Munderloh is doing a great job with you guys. He's such a fun person- you're lucky to have him.

Sauk - This isn't meant to be negative, but how long is your show? While I thought it was performed well, I thought it went on forever. Nice job, night show especially, it improved from the day, in my opinion.

Mundelein- Saw you at a distance at night, from what I can tell you're a great group, keep up the good work.

Mayville- Your show is growing on me. I really am starting to like Shed A Little Light, and He Lives In You.

Waconia- What a fun show Damon has given you. His opening stuff I thought was fairly fresh for Damon! I liked what he did with everything. Fun was cute, and the whole old people thing was great too! Nice job.

North St. Paul- I liked the big elastic band thing you had going, it was cool. Some vocal and choreography problems, but overall, nice showing at your first competition!

Logan- If I had my way, I'd have you in finals. I thought that you guys were clean as heck, and you sang well. But there were a few balance problems. I'm not sure why you placed as low as you did.

This is what I had during the day round in order.

GCS
Ona
Mundelein
Mayville
Logan
Waconia

This is how the day round went.....

GCS
Mundelein
Ona
Mayville
Waconia
North St. Paul
Neenah
TIE FOR 8th (I don't know who)
Logan
?
OHS Express

That's as much as I know, but congrats to all groups, it was a fun day!
