Thats all i can say well this is my first post i am in Euclid *VC and i have been in it for 4 years now and i think by far this is our best show and i am very happy with it....Garfield Comp... 1/20/07 left a very dry taste in my mouth and all i can say is that we stepped it up major time in finals we shouldnt had drop period i just dont know what we did wrong in finals we did what the judges said do from the tapes and we made the tempo be faster so are energy would be better but hay i guess thats life i cant wait for Danville and Twinsburg...Twinsburg up guys are f***** amazing i love your show and i cant wait to see it when you guys host us...and to medina you guys are good and i enjoyed your show....And wow solon your vocals blew me away i thought you guys were gonna get bv......Bevercreek i really got into your show it was also really good and poca you guys always do good...But it was all a pleasure to perform in perlims and finals with you...Cant wait to see some of you guys at Twinsburg...

I think Euclid is one of the most entertaining groups out there the energy is always there.....regardless show choir competitions are subjective, this competition is not the first where groups moved around significantly and will not be the last.....there has been plenty of times people have placed higher in the day and feel back at night. Kettering Fairmont for example last year in the day it went Fairfield, Brush, Beavercreek, Lehman, Nitro with fairfield winning by a LARGE MARGIN and then at night it ended up being Beavercreek, Fairfield, Lehman, Nitro, Brush. There Fairfield lost which was the SC.com drama and a very shocking moment and Brush fell a large amount as well. I am sure if we did a poll we would find that is happens more often than not at EVERY competition. I guess the moral is judges change their minds, thats the risk of competing.

Congrats T-burg, Medina, Beavercreek, Poca, Solon, and Euclid

Whats Solons and Euclids schedule this year?

IN THAT COMP. BEVERCREEK GAIND 30POINTS TO BEAT FAIRFIELD SO IT JUST GOES TO SHOW YOU ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. ALSO I CAN GARENTEE THE JUDGES WERE EXTREMLY QUALIFIED AT GARFIELDS COMP. IT JUST COMES DOWN TO WHETHER OR NOT THEY WERE ENTERTAIND BY THE SHOW FOR ALL I KNOW WHILE I LOVED EUCLIDS GIRLS NUMBER IT MAY HAVE BEEN TOO CONTROVERSIAL FOR SOME OF THE JUDGES.

Actually I heard Euclid and beavercreek deserved to move up 2 placements because they had the most passion in their shows and convinced the audiance what they were singing it is fishy but reguardless Twins and Medina must had been amazing

Euclid had the BEST show during the night time. They wanted it, they had it set to win it. They had more energy, cleaner than other groups, they honestly looked like they enjoyed being on stage...

also, euclid rocked finals while everyone else stayed reletively the same or got worse. so, regardless of whether they were 3rd or 4th, why and how does one drop in placement, below groups they'd beaten with a slightly rough prelim performance, as a result of more effort and a 10X-cleaner and 1000X-more energetic night performance? that's really the "fishy" part to me. Euclid had the most heart, the most love from their fans, the most desire, the most energy, flare, soul and emotion. They were also the most entertaining. I could have watched them all day. Every other group either gave me a headache or bored me. I don't get it. AND i saw the vocal judge go up to the Euclid director and absolutely RAVE to her about how much he LOVED Euclid's show. I don't think that they were rightly placed. some thing most definitely was shifty about this comp. i'd honestly encourage some investigation.

Hey, im confused....i could have sworn that euclid was ranked 3rd before finals...how did euclid win 1RU in class A if they were tied with Beavercreek, who is also in class A? Is there anyway you could give us a breakdown of points for prelims?

medina was also in class A and they were class A champs

i got a hold of the results from prelims. this is how the finalists actually placed before finals:

1. Medina
2. Twinsburg
3. Solon
4. Tie Euclid and Beavercreek (broken by judges ranking)
6. Poca

so the results werent off really.

CONGRATS MEDINA!!! I loved watching your show... well deserved GC.

Congrats to all of the other groups as well! I really loved Euclid's girl's number... controversial, but hilarious. " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Again, great job to all.

I was just wondering what people thought. Also what is the rest of Medina's show?

As a long time spectator of show choir, I also think the results were skewed. However, I happen to think it was Beavercreek that got somewhat shafted. Why is my opinion important though?

Well, it simply isn’t. But it does show that many people look for different things in a show choir. Some look for outstanding vocals, some look for screaming. Some look for crisp choreography, some look for choreo that is intricate.

While I don’t necessarily agree with the results, as an unassociated audience member, I have realized over the years that judging truly is a subjective thing that may not be understood, but I’m sure is explained in director’s packets. As long as it is backed up, qualified judges can’t usually be argued with.

Regardless, I do believe the right group won, and so maybe the judges saw something in the other groups that spectators did not. Congratulations to Medina- coming back incredibly strong after a brief recess; you all have certainly arrived again.

The results were off. Very off. I was there prelims and finals. Saw all of the groups that made prelims and finals in both performances. I think everyone there agrees with me on this one. Something really was fishy about those results. This was a great finals lineup. That's all I have to say about that.

Medina - Overall good. Good vocals, and clean choreography. Amazing violinist.

Twinsburg - Prelims performance had some major issues but you fixed it for finals. Your vocals were very mature (you were the loudest group tonight), choreography was awesome more energy would have made it even better.

Solon - Overall good as well. Very polished show. Good energy, nothing extraordinary however.

Beavercreek - Overall good. I mean there's nothing more to say these shows were all very solid.

Poca - Good vocals. Dancing was weak. Ballad was good, was it the same arrangement as Marysville 2005?

Euclid - Good in prelims. Outstanding in finals. The energy was unbelievable, you guys wanted it so bad I could tell. You made me want it for you. You hands down danced better then any group tonight and you were certainly the most entertaining. I don't understand how you dropped from 3rd to 6th? Performance order must have screwed you over. I'm sorry.

I would have put it.

GC - Twinsburg
1ru - Euclid
2ru - Medina
3ru - Solon
4ru - Beavercreek
5ru - Poca

Vocals - Twinsburg
Choreography - Euclid
Band - Medina (Twinsburg was a little too much synthesizer for me)

I agree completely! This competition had so much potential. All the groups in finals were AMAZING, but the results were a bit skewed, which makes me believe something went down that was a bit fishy...

BUT CONGRATS MEDINA ON YOUR WIN!!!!!!!!!

But here is what i thought of the finals as a whole:

EUCLID: AMAZING...CRAZY ENERGY...MOST ENTERTAINING SHOW OF THE NIGHT

MEDINA: I LOVE YOUR BALLAD.... AMAZING VOCALS...YOU GUYS DESERVED TO WIN

TWINSBURG: NOT A BIG FAN OF SOME OF YOUR SONGS.. BUT SOLID AS USUAL

POCA: I LIKED YOU GUYS LAST YEAR A LOT BETTER....BUT I ENJOYED YOUR RENDITION OF TEMPERATURE

SOLON: OMG A BIG STEP UP FROM LAST YEAR....YOU GUYS WERE AWESOME!

BEAVERCREEK: YOU GUYS HAVE AWESOME SOLOISTS...AND YOU GUYS ARE EXTREMELY ENTERTAINING!!!

HERE IS WHAT I THOUGHT SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED:

GC: MEDINA
1RU: EUCLID
2RU TWINSBURG
3RU: SOLON
4RU BEAVERCREEK
5RU: POCA
