He was the old varsity director at Anamosa. He helped "Sadie Street Singers" become one of the best small school choirs in the state! I've also met him and he's very nice!

I'll post what I can remember---

Milton opened with "It's your wedding day", Did another number, then the ballad...then "Black Horse and a cherry tree" and closed with "Livin' on a prayer."

Hastings does "Bring Me to Life", "Rock With You", then PROM NIGHT NOVELTY!: If which the folling are performed(I'm missing one or two in here) "I'm a guy", "Gonna wash that man right outta my hair", With or without you", "Sharp-dressed man", and a closer about dancing.

GCS: I only remember they did "The sunny side of the street" and have an awesome "Sun set" (haha...)

Arlington Heights: Could it be magic, Magic Carpet Ride, Superstition and other stuff.

CEDAR RAPIDS: Just Around the Riverbend, West Side Story Medley...that's all i saw.

Ft Atkinson: Life is a highway...I didn't know any of the other songs.

Brodhead: Bohemian Rhapsody, Honkytonk Badonkadonk, "Show choir girls" (the last two i don't know if they performed)

If you'd like to fill in the spaces please do...

Milton, Ft. Atkinson, and Brodhead's complete shows are all posted in the Viterbo topic.

This was definately an awesome competition to start the year. Everyone really seems to be further along than normal for January. Here's what I though about the groups in finals;

GCS - Me trying to be not biased. Technically good from start to finish. The only thing would be more emotional involvement, especially during the ballad. There are a lot of good choices being made already, just want more. I like the backdrop too!

Eau Claire - Awesome job! I got to see you last week at Viterbo, and you definately raised your show to the next level in one week. The band/choir balance was much inproved. To the 4 trumpets, you are incredible.

Hastings - I really enjoy the whole senior prom theme. It's very entertaining and really engages the audience. I would just bring more physical and emotional energy into your show. I didn't feel like it grew any from Viterbo. I can't wait to come to your school in Febuary for your comp.

C.R. Jefferson - I really enjoyed your tap number at the end. The upper body choreography was very, very clean. I hope I get to see your show again this year.

Arlington Heights - Great show. I thought it was a very solid show. I only got to see your day show, but from that show I think you will have a fun/successful year.

Ft. Atkinson - Much improved from last week. I was impressed with what you had changed. You finals show was excellent. And best male soloist - wow, you were fantastic. I am sure you will win that award at every comp. this year.

Great job to all the show choirs, and I can't wait to see everyone at Sauk Prairie!

Good Job Everyone!

GCS-great job! I was shocked when OASC took vocals from you I was sure that you had them!

Fort-I loved your show last week and this week I personally thought you really improved! Your ballad was great and the song after it when the three people are singing into the mikes I love that song!!! Good Job!!!

Hersey-Great energy I loved your show!

OASC-I will agree you guys have really improved over the years and its very very very impressive. Im pretty sure you guys are making groups really nervous right now.

Hastings-I cant get over the power of emotion you put into your balad. I love love love that song! I cant get over that huge silence after it the song is done because that just shows you guys are doing the song right!

Thats all I got to see!

Great Job for everyone else and thank you so much Monona Grove for hosting!

Good Job everyone! Great shows and AMAZING EnErGy!!!
