I should have assumed it was a Mark Schultz ballad. He is good at tear jerkers.

Mt. Zion's ballad was called walking her home...such a tear jerker!

*and East also did this joint is jumpin, and the song was called where you are, not where are you...just thought id clear that up!*

I loved everything about Saturday! It was possibly the most emotional day (joyful emotions of course)ever! Thank you to everyone who attended!! The amount of work that everyone puts into their shows just to get them ready to perform at the classic is amazing! Also, thank for all the support we received on Saturday evening before our performance.. I started crying when I heard all that cheering! It was such an amazing moment for me because of how enthusiastic that crowd was.. you guys were awesome!! I hosted Mt. Zion, and they are the nicest and most polite group of kids I have ever met! They include their hosts in the warm-up room traditions before leaving during finals. Sitting in the center of the circle of a bunch of pasionate kids singing their ballad to you is the most moving thing that could ever happen! Congratulations to everyone who competed yesterday!!

And Omaha was amazing.

Thank you so much. And thanks to everyone else who made comments about enjoying our show. That was one of our biggest goals in doing this show. Congrats to everyone that competed and good luck the rest of the year.

Yay Onalaska. This is my first year in a show choir as I am a freshman in highschool but I'm with Buffalo Grove Expressions and I just want to say that Onalaska Show Choir Classic was the most fun I ever had! It was great to see many schools perform and I can't wait to get my dvd so I can watch Mt. Zion (Congrats to winning Grand Champ.) and other good shows I didn't get to check out. I can't wait for the next competition!

Guess someone beat me to posting Mt. Zion's show Their ballad was called "Walking Her Home"; it's a great song by Mark Schultz!

Mt. Zion- I loved your show in finals! Your ballad is such a great song and it was BEAUTIFUL! The closer was my favorite; the light caught me off guard and rocked!

Sauk Prairie- You guys could sing like none other! Pippin has some amazing music and you guys did great justice to it! I especially loved the "Pippin...sit DOWN" and of course Corner of the Sky. It was all awesome!

East- You guys sounded great! I absolutely love how you bring in those extra risers! Your flips and lifts are so awesome too! I'd be scared to even attempt some of that stuff!

Omaha Westside- You guys are the nicest people in the world! Your show was amazing too! Your song choices were SO cool and you can definitely tell you enjoy your show. That Sing and Swing medley was so awesome and I can't wait to see you all again in a couple of weeks!!!!

Buffalo Grove- Wow! You guys were amazing! It was fun to run into some of SCA group-mates at Old Country Buffet on Friday night and that just made watching you guys all the more fun! Gold was gorgeous, as were all your songs, and I'm still amazed on how all you guys can kick so high!

To our hosts at Onalaska- thanks for everything! You guys were so nice to us! Checking up on us, the cough drops, offering your cell phone numbers to a bunch of random people from South Dakota, just everything! All of us from Friend de Coup loved the competition and had a blast, and you helped make that happen. Thanks so much and best of luck to you guys!

As much as I love show choir, I have to say that yesterday was a pretty big disappointment for me. I didn't stay for finals because I was so bored already that I felt no need to stay. However, given the day round... I would've given BG grand champion, even though I've never been a big fan of BG's shows.

I'm a huge fan of Mt. Zion, but this years show is a considerable let down. Their choreo is always amazing, and fun. It was clean and exciting to watch, but where were the vocals? Of course they are a powerhouse, of course they are a GOOD show choir... but they are surely lacking in the vocal department. I was disappointed. Also, I think the "let's make people emotional, sappy" ballads are a little overworked. Good job I guess, but... it could have been better.

you took the words right out of my mouth.

everybody i saw did well but nothing really made me go "WOW!" the only thing that i really loved was BG's dresses for their closer. but great job everyone and congrats!
