Edgewood's theme this year is "driving." Which if you have paid attention to Edgewood's past we did "walking" last year. Kinda funny if ya think about it...ok not really lol! They sing 7 songs. Opener is "Car Wash" -soloist Andrea Hamilton. Second is a combination of "Hit The Road Jack"- soloist Elizabeth Wagner and "No Particular Place To Go"- soloist Drew Helton. The ballad this year is "God Blessed The Broken Road"- soloist Zach Brown. Then they have the guys' song "She Drives Me Crazy". Girls' Song "You Drive Me Crazy." And The closer is "Highway to Heaven"- soloist Jessica Agee

our closer is actually freeway of love... great job on the rest though amy.

Solon...Are you guys like partially choreographed by your dance team? I heard you were or somehting last year, but I was never sure, never the less I was glad to see you guys again. Hope to see you later, I don't know if we were invited to your festival again, but I hope to see you again!

we're choreographed by two alumni, tessa mannirino and andrew zucker, as well as our "dance ensemble" which is our dance captains and four other group members. this years dance captains are myself and mike robinson and the other members are katie littman, jenna butkovick, josh aizen, and ben barasky

great job everybody!

HOOOOOOOOOOOOORAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!That seriously was one of the best feelings in the world. It's awesome to know, just like Mouser that our group could just let go. I mean, after I heard that we were around 50 points behind Teays and fourth going into finals, I realized there was nothing to lose. I think alot of people are starting to realize a trophy doesn't mean eveything, it's what you feel about how you did in your hearts. ok for my groups....

Piqua....Never gor to see you guys. We went right beofre you or after you. All I hear is good stuff, I wish we would get to see you guys again, you guys are always fun to compete against!

Bishop...Never got to see you guys, not gonna lie lol, but I did hear good stuff from parents and directors. Good job!

Solon...Are you guys like partially choreographed by your dance team? I heard you were or somehting last year, but I was never sure, never the less I was glad to see you guys again. Hope to see you later, I don't know if we were invited to your festival again, but I hope to see you again!

Edgewood...I don't know what to say but, well congrats. I don't think anybody saw you as a threat. I have to admit, I didn't at first, but after I watched your finals, I was a little worried, maybe you didn't have the most difficult show, but your sure did everything clean, everything was clicking for you guys. Now the midwest knows that you shouldn't be overlooked.

Teays...hahaha, well what can I say. I thought we MIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHT be able to take you after your pre-lim show, but once again, after being down 50 freaking points, that was gonna be hard to do. Even though you only took us by 25 in the end....yea thats still a baist job LoL. I love your show no matter what anyperson says. Nice job Shane on the solo and BP. I'll holler at you guys when I come down to your comp. PS Lisa, gives the best hugs I think in the world, and we will compete again at Wapak, we'll try and brinng a little more to the table for you guys, LoL.

As for the comp, well I was really sad I never got to see our hosts perform live, they kicked us out!!! LoL, no hurt feelings, I'll see you at Teays! Thanks for a great firt and last comp(for me) at your school. Something that I will always remember!

That was a really fun competition, although I was pretty disappointed with our performance the first time, but before finals we all decided for the first time that we need to just let loose and have fun, something we've hardly EVER done in our show. I was a little surprised at the placing, but I wasn't too disappointed because I feel we gave it our all that night, and we can only get better.

Great job Teays, Edgewood, ETC, Bishop, and Solon. You all did an awesome job, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Also, thank you hosts for everything, our room freakin' rocked and you guys showed great support.

Adios, and I'll see some of you next week at Piqua!

ok...

I saw all the afternoon groups minus ETC, and this is what I thought (my OPINION)-in order of performance...

Piqua- Great Job, i was a little disappointed overall though especially after last year. Costumes were Great, Set was sweet, and the guy with the long hair was AMAZING!

Grove City- Cool Show, watched from Gym so it was really loud so i didn't watch much.

Central Crossing- WOW! Great Show!! You guys have improved and changed so much since i first saw yall 3 years ago. Your sound was great, liked the costumes, Choreo. was pretty clean and tight, and i thought you guys were gonna make finals (seriously) i'm pretty sure yall was close though!

Teays Valley- Do you really need a comment... Amazing Job Shane and Lindsay!

Bishop Luers- The best i've seen since I 1st saw yall 3 years ago as well! LOVED the closer!

Solon- Great Show, seemed a little quiet, Band was amazing!, Loved the set, and your closer outfits looked soo comfortable! Choreo was pretty clean and tight. Great Soloists!!

MARYSVILLE- Last Year i said i dont think it could get any better tan the year before, this year i said the same thing and WOW!!! The moment you guys came out I was literally on the edge of my seat! AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! I'm not just saying that because you hosted, You guys blew me away! Every song was awesome! Your Ballad was incredible(proved you don't need power or "loud" ballads to be effective) i saw some ppl crying! It gave me chills! LOVED the costumes, especially the second change!! Amazing Soloists!!! GREAT ENERGY! It was great meeting John and seeing Aashley Grace Jeremy Mondo and some Mville Alum!! You guys are in for an amzing season! I can't wait to hear how you do!

Now finals...

Edgewood- Once again i missed it!

Teays Valley- AWESOME! Your energy went through the roof in Prelims and it tripled in Finals!! It was amazing. Loved every bit of your show! Congrat to Shane for his solo! Great costumes, SET, band, everything! A GC WELL DESERVED!!!

Bishop Luers- I thought the same as prelims, I saw a difference in your show, just not that much. It was still good, but i was expecting more.

Solon- I thought you guys did 10 times better the 2nd time!! You could see you worked on energy and vocals in your break!!

Piqua- Soooo much better the 2nd time! That was the show i was waiting to see! SO much more happened in vocals and choreo. seemed tighter. Energy was high, You guys really stepped it up!

ETC- AMAZING! OMG! I see why you guys were worried why ppl were placing you so low lol. Awesome Show. Jason is my new favorite person! is was great meeting him and even beter watching him!!! I forgot who won BP from your group but you deserved it!!! I loved every bit of your show and loved the costumes and the set and the songs! pit sounded good and i LOVED your ballad also! The Novelty was incredible!! It was great from Beginning to the End!!! Great Job!!!

once again CONGRATS to ALL the groups (Especially Edgewood who was 1st to go in Prelims and 1st to go in Finals!!!- That's AWESOME!!!) and this is just my OPINION let me say that again, my OPINION! it's just the first comp for alot of these groups so i'm sure you all will do even more amazing in the season!!

Great Job everyone!!!

**Video and Pics was done by Your-Photo so i'm sure all that will be on their website by either sometime today or tomorrow in case anyone wanted to know.**

Congratulations to all the competitors. I watched all your shows at one point or another, however I was only able to see the last two groups in finals. All the shows were great!!

Thanks to Edgewood's hosts. You guys were great. The room was great! I loved the CANDY too.. you've won my heart Special thanks to Josh for putting up with Zach scaring the crap outta you.

Can't wait to see most of you next week at Piqua!!

the results to our comp certainly were surprising. but as i wasn't able to watch half of the groups in finals, i really can't comment any further on that subject.

as for the day itself, i had an incredibly fun time hosting Piqua. and while the results were unfavorable for them, i absolutely adore their show and group. i'm really looking forward to their comp and seeing all my favorite Piquites next weekend!

Well... that was fun. Seriously, it was actually a really fun competition and there were alot of amazing groups there last night. I probably would have placed all the groups different.

GC- Teays
1R- ETC ( no really. )
2R- Piqua
3R- Bishop Luers
4R- Solon
5R- Edgewood

We enjoyed all the shows last night. Good job everyone...

As a fellow alumni of Edgewood, I'm very proud of you guys. Don't listen to what anyone else says on here, because no one has, nor most likely ever will give Edgewood credit for what they do. Edgewood has always been the "entertaining show". I'd much rather pay to watch an Edgewood entertaining show, than watch a "dull show performed well" any day!

Anyways! Congrats to all finalists, each one did a fantastic job, and also a big congrats to Teays Valley for another outstanding performance!

sooo much to say but not tonight, Congrats to everyone especially TEAYS VALLEY Great Job Shane on your solo and awards!! It was great seeing everybody also. I'll post tomorrow what i saw and how things seemed like they were gonna happen...

Totally agree with MattG, except i was bouncing back and forth between Piqua and ETC, they both had good things about them, and i just knew one of them would be 2nd or 3rd, no offense to Edgewood because i didn't see your show, but still. Just from walking down the hallways, I think EVERYONE was a little surprised at the outcome.

Great Job everyone!!
