This is a pure guess since I'm out of the information loop this year, but I think it's a safe bet that Iowa City is going back to Supernova. It'd be 4th Ave and City Lights, but probably not NiteLites. City Lights did very well in their division, and I think 4th Ave is pretty bent on ranking really high to make up for not making finals last time.  I hope they do it!

I know what you mean. Headliners have never placed worse than 3rd runner up at Linn Mar until last year...so i know we're definitely set on making finals and getting our reputation as one of Iowa' top groups back. No matter what show choirs end up coming it is still gonna be one heated competition. Hopefully someone can dethrone Urbandale this year too ( like the Headliners!)...it'd be nice to see some1 else win grandchampion for once.

Lol- Sioux City is just so far!!! It totally wasn't cool, because we don't do overnighters we came back that same night....it was a really long competition. Although, it was fun, and well run I doubt we will be returning, but who knows, not even we know

I vote GCS skips every competition were competing at and comes back to Sing All About It... its more fun viewing GCS rather than losing to them...

amen to that...and it would make up for GCS not showing up at Sioux Falls last year. I was sad that i didnt get to see their show live for the first time in a season. C'mon guys...come....for Ryan...

GCS has heard nothing of their competitions since camp started, so if you hear we're coming, it didn't come from one of us, probably some one who really doesn't know and thinks they know , or Mr. Esser, which I doubt

Ahh, I'm sorry.  I had read in one of your earlier posts that you were attending.

Yeah, as far as I knew we were going to be attending and then we had SC Camp this past week and I talked to my director and he informed me that he was not wanting to attend this year. Its a bummer for me cause I have always loved Linn-Mar.

Happiness, Protege, and Celebration are for sure.  Momentum and Central are not for sure.  And yeah, I've heard GCS is attending too.  But who knows, that's probably just a rumor.

I'm not really sure what the directors are going to do this year.  If something changes, I'll be sure to let all of you know.

are those for sure?

Im kind of scared of central this year...

Also, has anything been done to rearrange the setup of the competition so more people are able to see competeing choirs?

CR Kennedy Happiness and Protege, CR Wash Celebration and possibly Momentum. CR Prairie usually attends, as does Davenport Central.

I am hereby starting a topic dedicated to the discussion of Linn-Mar's Supernova 2006. At this point all that can be discussed really is who will be attending, hopefully it can keep going through the competition season, I will try to keep a list of all of the attending choirs, eventually judges hopefully, and a schedule once we get down to the wire.

So far, confirmed choirs have been:

Sioux City East- "Headliners"
Ankeny- “Visual Adrenaline”
Cedar Rapids Jefferson- “Westside Delegation”
Urbandale- “Studio 2006”
Cedar Rapids Kennedy- "Happiness Inc."
