I definitely thought Garfield's show was tons better then last years. This is your best show since the Pressure year and I think it's pretty much better then that year. Hope you guys keep improving with your show. I especially like the guys number .

brush was not that good in finals to deserve GC or 1RU there balad had screeching sopranos, and their coloser was like 2 as fast as it should be, but East Noble rocks my socks i love you guys, i enjoyed everyone's show i saw and i am glad to hear that everyone enjoyed our competition its too bad more people didnt come though. its too bad im a senior and cant host a school next year but i will definatley be there next year for some purpose.

ryan we cant tell you how we placed, but we made finals, and didnt move anywhere in the rankings we stayed where we would have placed after prelims

I think East Noble should have done better ranking wise. I tihnk they were in class B and from what I saw they were a lot better then Mayfield or Midpark. East Noble I loved your mixed group it was awesome (didnt see girl group).

Thanks, although we didn't place as well as we would have hoped, we really enjoyed the competition, Garfield was a fun school! Thanks for the hospitality!

Im taking forever but yeah heres how I would've put it...

GC: Poca/Brush
1ru: Poca/Brush
2ru: Euclid
3ru: Van Buren
4ru: Ada
5ru: Solon

I honestly dont like Solon, you may hate me forever, but I dont like their show this year. It doesn't appeal to me at ALL. Solon had the prime spot and they still failed to act upon that. Choirs would've KILLED to have that but yet they had it and was BORING! lol

1 RU- Euclid- YALL HAVE STEPPED UP YOUR GAME THIS YEAR. year after year you keep getting better. again strong vocals and always tight choreo. I think this group has the most passion for what they do on and off the stage.

Thank you so much , I'm so glad you enjoyed the show (you made me smile). I think I love you, haha .

Good luck @ those, I know y'all will do great because you guys are frickin' sweet!

In conclusion ... I think I Garfield was the most fun I've had @ any competition ever.

To be honest when IN groups come to Ohio they dont do as well as they think because in IN they weigh HEAVILY on vocals, with Choreo being the minor area. In OH we count Vocals and Choreo about the same... ;)

Actually, IN competitions are VERY different here than they are in ohio and in other states. Judges seem to look for different things. Just depends on who the judges are i guess. By one judge we could score 9 and 10s and then by another judge we could get 3s and 4s. Like i said..I guess it just depends on who the judges are. But really, we try to focus on both vocals and choreography. We focus on them equally. Some weekends are just better than others I guess!!

My final rankings overall I have to disagree with the judges

GC- Solon- I was very impressed with strong vocals, especially ballad and always great choreo i thought you and Brush could have either taken Best Choreo and your combo was fantastic. I love the uplifting believing theme.

1 RU- Euclid- YALL HAVE STEPPED UP YOUR GAME THIS YEAR. year after year you keep getting better. again strong vocals and always tight choreo. I think this group has the most passion for what they do on and off the stage.

2 RU- Brush- very class DEFINATELY DESERVED BEST COSTUMES AND BEST CHOREO. you look great and sound good if u guys can get stronger vocals LOOK OUT. Loved the Ballad one of my favorite songs and u pulled it off.

3 RU -Poca the Best Female soloist I thought was the best part of your show the rest was alright. Choreo was solid but it wasnt the most difficult but u won and no one can take that away these are just what I thought. Congratulations nonetheless.

4 RU- Ada N/A did not see show
5 RU- Van Buren N/A did not see show

I thought that Euclid was amazing!!!! I have seen your show the past three years, and this was definitely the best. Yuri, you are an amazing performer. So is the blonde girl in the middle. I was so entertained by your show!!! i thought you were going to win. My order would have been.
1 - Euclid
2 - Solon
3 - Poca
4 - Brush
5- Van Buren
6 - Ada

OMG, my heart just definitely sank reading that. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I don't think anyone has ever said anything that nice about us on here ever. I'm glad you enjoyed the show, the girl in the middle with the blonde hair is Jessica Vandegrift.

On a completely different note... didn't they announce Rocky River as best choreography during Pre-lims? I thought it was quite odd that they were best choreo and then didn't make finals, but I figured weirder things had happened in the show choir world.

I dunno why, but at both of our compeitions so far this year, they have made a mistake in the daytime awards... at Beevercreek they said we were Class A GC, when we were actually 2nd runner up. This time the news of a mistake was a bit happier. ;)

I agree, I liked Mayfield's show! Really nice sportsmanship, you guys.

Kudos to Garfield Heights High School. For you first competition, it was very well run, and i really had a lot of fun being there. I know how hard it is to be the host group, and you guys did a wonderful job!
