Mayfield-- I loved your show! Be proud of winning class B! I honestly thought you deserved to make finals.

Congrats to everyone there! Esp. Poca!! That's representin' the small schools

On a completely different note... didn't they announce Rocky River as best choreography during Pre-lims? I thought it was quite odd that they were best choreo and then didn't make finals, but I figured weirder things had happened in the show choir world.

Anyway, Good luck to all the groups here on the rest of their season!

yes they did announce it, but it was a mistake, and Brush actually won BC

No professional pics were taken @ this competition Brandon (except Emily L. took some in the audience, haha -- hence my signature), but I ordered a DVD of finals (and so did everyone else in VC, lol) so we'll have a show choir DVD night when you're in town next.

YAY!!! I can't wait!!! I'm so Proud of you guys and happy for yall!!!!!

i had a great time at garfield heights, although it was bittersweet winning class B champion and not making finals..... in our homeroom, someone started playing "we are the champions" by queen, and I kept saying that we really weren't the champions, until I realized (sometime during the 2nd verse) that we were the champions of class B, so I preceded to sing along with them.......fun times....great job everyone

Congrats to everybody! And thanks for the nice comments, Yuri.

Unfortunetely I didn't get to see Euclid or Van Buren, but of who I did see...

Poca - Very nice job! I loved the TVs, hehe. And though I was somewhat scared of "Weird Science", you had very strong vocals and choreography, and I was really entertained by your show.

Solon - This was the first time I'd seen you this year, and from what people told me you weren't as good this year, but I was very impressed! The vocals were incredibly strong, especially in the ballad, and I really loved your show.

Ada - First time seeing you guys too. Though your vocals didn't seem as strong as everyone else, you had a significantly smaller group, so I was again impressed! The ballad was really good as well... nice job!

Again, congrats to everyone!

This was such a great competition, Garfield did a wonderful job hosting it. I loved our hosts Sophia and Ben -- they were frickin' awesome .

We went way in the morning so we practically saw everyone. It was really a tight race to get into finals and even tighter once finals had begun.

Finals results (as opposed to prelim results, since I see Brandon has taken care of that) more in depth looked like this (sorry I only know the top 4, since we were all so close that's what I paid attention to).

Vocals
1. Poca
2. Solon
3. Euclid
4. Brush

Choreography
1. Euclid
2. Brush (only one point behind)
3. Poca (tie)
3. Solon

Overall Effect
1. Poca
1. Solon
1. Euclid
1. Brush
that's right ... a 4-way tie. So as you can see it was definitely very close.

In conclusion these are the comments I have to make. The only finals performance I didn't see was Van Buren since y'all were right after us and we were packing up our stuff but to the others:

Poca -- Your costumes and set is frickin' sweet and your choreography couldn't get any bit cleaner. It's so sharp and awesome. Your vocals were amazingly solid too, I loved the ballad. Those three girls together, wow ... can't wait to watch y'all on my finals DVD again .

Solon -- Your show had a very positive and uplifting feel to it. I really enjoyed it and I love you guys. Solid vocals (especially in that opening a capella section, wow )" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />, and your pit sounded amazing. Ben's solo was fantastic also.

Brush -- I absolutely loved your show. Your backdrop and opener costumes are so awesome, you guys look so impressive in them. I loved St. Elmo's Fire and When the Mountains Fall the most. Your choreography was clean (hence why you won it in prelims ) and you guys were full of energy. The ballad was beautiful sounding also.

Ada - Your ballad was so good. I loved the soloist in it and how she hit those high notes with such ease and at such low dynamic levels. It was definitely impressive, congratulations .

That's all for now. It's been a great ... but long day .
