ha it's okay Tom, everyone has different ideas of what dancing and show choir should be. You'll get used to it. You should also get used to checking your spelling.

haha. I'm totally your favorite director, huh?

Moving on,
ALEX! Where is our list of judges???

Well, first of all i would like to say i respect your opinion. I just want to clarify a few things... you say we didnt have much dancing, but did you see how much our hip-hop dancers dance, not to mention the closer? we tend to be very heavy on dancing, even though we may not be too clean. Our show choir was on stage the whole time with the exception of the destiny's child song and the maroon 5 song so people can change their outfits. I am sorry to hear that you didn't like our show this year, because we preform in hopes to entertain people. If its not too much to ask, please watch it again with a different set of eyes and see if other things that you do like. I hope i get to see you guys this weekend, since i couldn't see you this past weekend.

I hope i made it clear that i really do still respect totino, last year they were one of my favorite groups that i saw alll year. Just one thing about the hip hop dancing. I think that there are a lot of show choirs who could pull out 4 guys and 4 girls and have them dance like that, i know mine could. But i believe (it may be old fashioned) that show choir is about doing things as a full group, so i have always disliked it when small parts of the group are onstage for entire songs. Again, i'm not taking anything away from the performers, they all did a great job, its just that the show wasnt my proverbial cup of tea.

I know that they were crazy, i just hated totino's show this year. Its funny, last year i loved them but this year... it was too much, it wasnt that clean, it was also really confusing. they really didnt even have that much dancing. They almost never had their entire show choir onstage, which is something I hate. Just in general, i couldn't stand their show at all.

EDIT: I also never saw CR Wash, but I did see city and their show really impressed me. So that one was really a toss up for me.

Ha it's seriously okay, you don't have to apologize or explain yourself- we aren't trying to be everyone's cup of tea! We'd rather hear your honest opinion than some fluff that you don't really feel. But I will say, if you have a chance at Johnston, check the show out again- maybe you'll find some stuff you enjoy in it!

I will definately do that. Maybe it'll grow on me

ha. well, it's always nice to hear from the fans Greg...

Just kidding! Seriously though, I am sorry to hear the show didn't entertain you- maybe next year!

I'm very sad to hear Cedar Rapids Washington won't be at Johnston- the way that Momentum came out in their day performance was awesome- soooo entertaining and high energy! You guys really know how to put on a show for your audience. Fortunately, I will get to see you again at Davenport North!

I dunno, i really did love your show last year, its just that this year i felt like there was too much "stuff" going on and not enough actual show choir. I'm not saying that the show was performed badly, thats not it at all. I just really dislike the show style, and so that kinda influences my opinion.

yes we unfortunately had to cancel due to scheduling conflicts with State Speech Team that were unable to be resolved! im really sad we arent able to go! good luck to everyone!

That really is too bad. After a good performance there last year, and they did so well last weekend - they probably would haven done really well. Good news is to the rest of the field - there is one more spot open for finals now that more than likely would have gone to CR Washington. Oh well - maybe next year there won't be Speech conflicts? Or snow (like last year)!

whoa thats a crazy position.... lol i would definitely not put either IC High or CR Wash ahead of totino. i am in full respect of totino's vocals.... completely. i know its gonna be really close between city high and cr wash, so we'll see between those two. Davenport West got 8th at a tough onalaska. davenport central and ic west both just missed finals at their first competitions but i know will come back with a bang! my pretty blind predictions (ive only seen Totino-Grace)

GC: Totino-Grace
1RU: Urbandale
2RU: Cedar Rapids Washington
3RU: Iowa City High
4RU: Davenport West
5RU: Iowa City West

Best Vocals: Totino-Grace
Best Choreography: Urbandale
Best Band: Cedar Rapids Washington

Best Female Soloist: Samantha, Totino-Grace (she rocks my socks off)
Best Male Soloist: i heard the guy from Urbandale is amazing!

Alex, could you get the list of judges from Jody and post them?

Also wondering- has the schedule been changed yet, or no?

Thanks!
