So being the outgoing weird Noteable that I am. I have a tradition. Every competition I meet someone new. But I don't have anyone to meet up with at my own invite. Anyone tinterested?

Sounds like a good idea to me!!!

um... I haven't heard times yet... and our director unfortunately had to go to Florida for an unknown amount of time. We know he will be gone all this week, but other than that we dont know. Because of him being gone... my information has been limited. As soon as I find out I will let everyone know though.

PS~caseman... I just read your sig... and I'm tearing... it didn't hit me till now that this is the last time I will be performing at my favorite competitions... and learning some awesome shows... :-(

and to think... you all only see about 3/4th of the school... and they expect us to get all the way across the school in 6 minutes... with 2200 students. fun stuff.

if you dont travel with your soloist down to the solo room... you should ask your other host (because only one needs to go with the soloist) to take you, and they will take you the fastest way. I will make sure that all the hosts realize the difficulty you all have, and make sure that at least one is almost always avialable.

If at all else fails... if you're at the home rooms and you're trying to get to the gym for a preformance or to the solo room... keep going DOWN stairs.

Just a note to all... the school is also having a swim meet the same day... so things will be even more messed up this year!!!! YAY!!! *rolls eyes* We'll all get through it together. I promise.

Haha, thanks. It should be easier this year, though, because we don't have any soloists competing at Pekin. I do think I always managed to get down to the gym okay.

I can only imagine trying to get around that place that fast...the only thing I can say is that we have just about the same number of students, and we have to get around in five minutes. I mean, I don't think our school is as big, but that makes it worse because the halls are so crowded you can barely get through.

Unfortunately, though, I doubt it'll be 60-degree weather like it was last time I went...I wasn't actually competing (I was there to watch my sister), so I went outside with a bunch of the crew kids and we all lay on a blanket outside for hours. It was glorious.

I hate winter.

What if you didn't get a CD of your solo last year? Can you call the company and order one? If so, who is the company?

I think that we're doing DVDs of the solos this year... but I may be wrong... it may just be a CD. I thought I heard our director say DVD though...

I love show choir season... its so social...

there was a swim meet when i was in the solo comp too! lol it was pretty amazing i'm not gonna lie, ppl in speedo's standidng next to ppl in show choir attire. we kinda joked for a lil bit about that being our costume the next year. thank god we were only joking... lol

actually over x-mas break i found the cd recording of me singing that your comp gave me. i kinda sucked it up, but it was really fun to hear what i sounded like back then!

yeah last year was my first year going and i thought it was hard to get around!! And if you havent been there before and your school has soloist you might wanna leave like 10 or 15 min early it took forever to get to the soloist room!! LOL but it was a lot of fun!!!!

Hah, that was where I got lost freshman year, trying to get to the solo competition. Honestly, that place is like a mile square, and every hallway looks the same to me! If it hadn't been for the signs, I never would have made it out alive...

Sorry Roxy! ^^^That was accidently me on Dr. J's computer!

Anyways... haha! it takes us forever to learn the school... You guys actually have it easy because they have signs up all over the place to help guide you... during the regular school day we dont have those. I've actually never had classes in one part of the school until this semester, and I got lost the first couple days... so don't feel bad. We're not smarter.

Just don't be afraid to ask someone. I'll send you a PM with a pic of me if you wanna just look around for me! Plus then we can meet!

PS Sorry ben for not saying simply yes or no. geez.

I hope the school has gotten easier to find my way around since last time I was there...I don't know how the Pekin kids do it! They must just be smarter than me.

A straight-forward yes, no, or I don't know would have worked.
