Twinsburg did win last year, and could quite possibly win it again this year.

if the rule of all Grand Champions of each Division is no longer in effect I tihnk that is very wise. Because there have been a lot of angry groups who have scored higher in some instances that have been vastly disappointed. Ihope this is true because i tihnk that's the only fair way to run a comp. who ever scores the most points makes the finals period.

cant agree more

yea Cuyahoga now goes with the top 6, not the GC of the divisions like before...the last year they did the GC's in finals deal was 2004 I believe, so the change has come rather recently

yea if you look around, more and more competitions are taking the top 6 overall scores, regardless of class champions..and i agree...the top 5 or 6 (however many that competition has in finals) should compete in finals

Definately don't forget edgewood...they were right behind northrup and marysville at piqua, and I don't believe that beavercreek placed at all. I'm just an alumni, so I don't know what exactly happened there. But definately don't discount edgewood!

Yeah, I unfortunately was unable to go watch Piqua, but from looking @ the result topic, Beavercreek did not make finals, while Edgewood did, though it appears the point spread was very close. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about Edgewood however, and would definately look out for them this weekend as they are NOT a group to be forgotten. I hate to place people b/c I feel like anything could happen; there are always surprises and dissapointments within a day of show choir and I'm sure Cuyahoga will be no exception. Best of luck to everyone though. I'm sure that this will be a tight, and exciting day of show choir.

Is it true that Cuyahoga has decided to go w/ the top 6 spots instead of GCs of divisions and remaing 3 high scorers? This could definately change things a bit...Good Luck everyone!

My director was reading over the rules and told us it class champions are no longer guarenteed finals spots, it's just the top 6 scores so that changes things a little bit. I won't rank where everyone will fall but I will say Twinsburg, findlay, beavercreek, are shoe-ins for finals. The last 3 will be a battle between hurricane, solon, st. clarrisville, nitro, and garfield. I've very excited to see how it turns out
