We were told that the margin of points was nice-sized (compared to last week, man that was close). I liked going first in the evening, I generally don't want to go see finals because it freaks me out too much, but I got to just watch and enjoy all the Very Good show choir shows (congrats to everyone! Everyone was great). I made a mental note to myself about two different show choirs for posting up here, so here they are.

Piqua's initial outfits were nice, typical-ish show choir stuff, though I noticed for some of the skirt grabbing stuff not all the girls were grabbing both layers. I liked the design on the guys' suits -- minute enough not to be very noticeable and obtrusive, but interesting nevertheless. And the clothing change! I would have died in those hot yellow pumps -- I'd have to sue over a broken ankle. But man, they were cool. The female MC was right, you definitely win the best accessory award. Lol. Kudos to your choreographer for not making you die in them. Heh.

Fairfield's show in general was really great. I was talking to some people who were familiar with Fairfield in the bathroom and knew ahead of time that it was about decisions & whatnot, so going into it I sort of expected something cheesy and juvenile, you know? Man, I was wrong. You guys had a really good choice of songs. The ballad was one of the most well-arranged songs I have ever heard (really great soloist, too). That ballad is love. The dresses are love, too. Very cute, very classic. I saw a person walking around in the hall in one before hand and thought "hey, I like that dress" just as a normal dress; it gave me ideas for a prom dress next year. Lol. It made me sad when you changed clothes, because they were kind of anti-climactic; I know I kept on hoping that they'd be ripped something off and reveal cute club type clothes, but no such luck. The set was super sweet, though, and the whole closing section was just so full of energy and so much fun to watch. You guys are great!

wow...100 points...that'd be a pretty hard deficit to overcome if ya wanted to beat findlay

I'm sure they were up by a lot, but that's probably an exageration. From what I've seen of the other groups there this year and in the past, the only group at that competition who could really be competition for them is Teays Valley, and obviously they weren't competing. But, yeah, 100 points would be huge, I'll have to look into that.

Way to go Findlay! You know I love you guys!

Someone from Beavercreek (who missed finals by 1 1/2 points) said Findlay was ahead by 100 points going into finals. Winfield was right behind Beavercreek. Anyone know the point spread going into finals?

Just got home and have to be at church at 8:45am. Going to BED!!! " border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> G'nite " border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

Darn it! No evening results yet!

Gahanna isn't actually a small school. It's a very big school. I believe they just choose to have a small choir. However, they're certainly not a huge powerhouse, and it is always great to see an underdog do well!

Wow....I was actually lucky enough to sneak away today and see a good little bit from 1:00-Daytime Awards, I wish I could've stayed for the night show but there aren't enough hours in the day. I honestly didn't see Gahana Lincoln, but I heard they were good, and I love it when small schools do well. I was actually kind of surprised Beavercreek didn't make it...their balld was beautiful and I would've had them in over two of the groups that made finals. I missed Northrop, but heard they were good. Winfield was so awsome and so creative, I loved it. As for the groups that did make finals, you all were great....Findlay's closer is incredible. Good luck to everyone tonight, you all were wonderful, I wish so much that I could see it. To those who didn't make finals, this was no doubt tight, and many of you guys, especially Beavercreek, I think deserved to be up there tonight, too. Don't let it get you guys down, everyone should be proud. And I gotta say that Teays, in my opinion, was so well organized and nicely run. Thanks and Good Luck to everyone!!

Wow, that's cetainly not what I expected! Gahanna is definatly very good, though. I hope Northrop doesn't feel too bad.

Good luck to everyone in finals! I hope my Findlay friends are doing great!

Okay so after the prelims the places (that I know of) are as follows:
Findlay
Twinsburg
Piqua (down to Twinsburg by 13 points)

And then I believe Fairfield is 4th followed by Medina and then Gahanna Lincoln.
