Beavercreek appreciates the compliment. Our parents thought it was the best show Friends did all year! Didn't bother the kids, though, they were just happy to have been part of the show! Two more competitions to go. Don't know how to get that gospel number any better but hey, I'm prejudiced!
Our kids love Nitro - hope to see you at Beavercreek next year - the date is Jan 17-18, 2008. Is your "surgeons" injury better?

Thanks for asking about Stephanie. She is off the crutches and walking with a ankle brace. She is going to try to do her solo this weekend at states. This will be her last competition and she is really giving it her all. I think we will be back next year. We love coming to Beavercreek. You guys to a great job and are the best hosts.

If your going to attend a competition like Fairfield you have to understand:
There were more than 10 groups who make finals where ever they go, and win, but only 6 spots to fill. Of course its going to be a blood bath, everyone expected it to be. These groups new how hard this competition was going to be, and they took it on as a challenge, but as I said it was going to be a blood bath..or any placing .

Edit - Grammer

Evan that was totally perfect. couldn't have put it better myself.

What i DON"T understand is how Clinton could get 2nd in Vocals, and be 1st place by 29 points AFTER a 10 point deduction... Their choreography was clean but FAR from 30 points superior...

the 10 point deduction doesnt go into finals scores, for finals, you have unlimited time to set up, at least at most competitions you do.

I could be totally wrong but, how accurate can this post be? I wasn't there, but unless my eyes are worse off than I thought, I see Hurricane listed #3 after prelims but not listed at all in the following individual judges placings. Just an observation

This is just makes me sick. The judges were blind. I feel that Beavercreek and Franklin Central deserved finals. They gave it their all I could tell. I drove 3 hours and was impressed by Marysville! M'ville your vocals are amazing =)! Eisenhower was good but I honestly thought Hurricane and Findlay should of been inhead of them. Well this compititon just really upset me and I won't be attending again and I have a feeling alot of these groups won't be coming back. . . . . . . . Well congrats on the groups who made finals! It was a good compititon for you all probably but I just feel bad when I see good groups like Zionsville.Piqua and Franklin Central groups not making it in finals. I honestly feel Beavercreek is in the top 20 best vocal show choirs around. well congrats again everyone.

First off...

I realize that your upset about the results... As am I... But you can't just say "The Judges were Blind" and not give a reason why you think so. I love Beavercreek but i just cannot say that they deserved finals. Vocally they were not at their best during prelims. The ballad was Extremely weak i thought compared to the weeks prior when i heard them. And Franklin Central had an amazing show but again Was put in placement Immediately Following Clinton. Any judge is going to have a hard time putting together scores for the group proceeding Such a clean group, Even judges as esteemed as Marty Demott and Eric Vancleave. THE BIGGEST Reason i think things ended up this way is becaus of the Panel, Looking at Eric vancleave and Marty Demotts scores, and knowing how they normally judge, I'd say that them putting norwell in finals was a pretty good bet after seeing their day show. They prefer an Oldschool show and i think that showed in their placements... If i'd been watching the shows Purely for Entertainment... No Scoresheet, just... Which show do i like the best i'd have put them in order...

GC: Hurricane
1RU: Clinton
2RU: Franklin Central
3RU: Eisenhower
4RU: Beavercreek
5RU: Marysville.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED HURRICANES SHOW!!!!! Could Anyone Recap it for me? i remember there was one song that i about Exploded because i loved it so much but i can't remember... Please someone...

OK basically, my point is just that I think the results are Understandable, I disagree with them, but i understand how it could happen.

What i DON"T understand is how Clinton could get 2nd in Vocals, and be 1st place by 29 points AFTER a 10 point deduction... Their choreography was clean but FAR from 30 points superior...

Clinton got 3rd in vocals. Marysville and Hurricane were both ahead.

Hurricane's show is Hold On/ Dreams, Shine It On, Big Noise From Winnetka, If I Can Dream, One Vision, and Paradise City.

BIG NOISE FROM WINNETKA BLEW MY EFFING FACE OFF!!! WOW!!!! Sorry, i just definately LOVED that. Thanks Ana... It all came back instantly... i just saw like... 5 new shows last weekend lol. I just remember hearing that Intro to 'big noise" and thinking about playing it in Jazz band... i was like "ooohhhhh gee no they are NOT !!!!! " and it only got better from there...

Though i'm pretty sure i saw 5 people fall during prelims... And they weren't really dancing that much... i was a little confused...

I'm not sure you were at the same competition I was. Clinton's boys number was fantastic. Why would they not do that number? It makes perfect sense for guys to do it. (It did really well for the Jersey Boys and The 4 Seasons.) The young man that did the falcesto did a great job. It is the best guys number I have seen all year and I thought that Super Geek by Garfield Heights would be hard to beat. I want to applaud all the groups that competed. Everyone gave it their all. They only thing that caught me off guard was the fact the Beavercreek didn't make finals. That was the best show I have seen them do all year.
