ok, so one of the awards for this competition is "Best Set". Does that mean best show design or best backdrop?

i think the finalists will most likely be marysville, hurricane, finlday, olentangy, teays, and piqua... in what order... not really sure...but i think it will go something like this

GC- Marysville
1RU- Findlay
2RU- Piqua
3RU- Teays Valley/Hurricane
4RU- Hurricane/Teays Valley
5RU- Olentangy

gc: Findlay
1 ru: Olentangy/marys
2 ru: Olentangy/ Marys
3 ruiqua
4 ru: Teays
5 ru:?

correct me if im wrong but the past 2 years the best of the small devision made finals. 2006: Shellbyville and last year 2007: Norwell . . . . . so i wouldn't keep a small group out for finals! just saying that's how it has been lately

vocals: Findlay
choreo: Findlay
Band: Findlay

Hm, well I was @ Teays Valley Classic and Northcoast these past two weekends.

And I have to say that Marysville, Findlay, Olentangy, and Piqua are all on the same playing level.

At Teays, Marysville, Findlay, and Olentangy were evenly matched - I heard the point differences were very few the only one I know off the top of my head was Olentangy was 2 points from Marysville. That's a crazy small margin.

At Northcoast ... Marysville and Piqua gave unbelievable performances (probably the two best I've seen all year), they were definitely evenly matched - I would have hated to have been a judge.

On top of that Olentangy apparently keeps improving, they just had a huge win this weekend against Petal. And I think the only group that ever beats Petal is Clinton (granted they normally only compete in the South, but still it was a huge win for Olentangy).

So I guess what I'm saying is don't count out any of those four groups. They all have an equal shot - this shouldn't be a competition where one group sweeps all captions.

Here's what I think...but you never really know!!

GC: Marysville
2nd: Findlay
3rd: Olentangy
4th: Piqua
5th: Teays Valley
6th: Hurricane

Vocals: Marysville Band: Findlay Choreo: Either, but probably Marysville

While these are my predictions, I would LOVE to see Olentangy pull the upset and win GC. This is something that they are more than capable of, it just depends on the day and the judges. Best of luck to everyone!!

I think that this is wayyyy to hard to predict actual placements. I would have to say that Findlay is most likely favored. But Piqua, Marysville, and Olentangy are in striking distance. I think both Teays and/or Hurricane could end up in the top 3 depending on all the performances. DO NOT COUNT OUT OLENTANGY.
