I always hate when crazy things like this happen, and the explanation/blame is always pointed toward the judges. At almost every competition, every school does their best to find talented, unbiased adjudicators to attend their competition.

That being said, I have heard from multiple people who attended this contest that one of the judges was indeed a faculty member and/or clinician for one of the competing choirs for quite some time. Many people immediately get up in arms and declare that the competition was thrown. Calm down. Remember what we're talking about, here. If a school received Best Vocals in prelims - they received Best Vocals in prelims. My worst fear is for the students of Walsh Jesuit thinking for one second that they didn't earn that award, and that is a true shame.

Congratulations to ETC! I can't wait to see your show later this season.

Congratulations to Beavercreek as well. I'm sure if not announcing your name was a flub or not, but you all never cease to impress me. Can't wait to see you at Loveland next week!

I have heard problems that a lot of different groups had at this competition yesterday, and it's disappointing. You have to make sure that your competition is run fairly and run well for the competing groups and paying spectators. You have to hope that a competition that has been going on for years can bounce back next year despite the problems that they had.

Ah, that does seem odd. This competition should also consider waiting until after Finals to give out BV/BC, unless of course those remained the same with Finals scoring... which would be amazing if so.

Anyways the purpose of this thread was to give props to Beavercreek they have a heck of a show !!!!!!!!!

Did they jump straight from 2RU to announcing the GC? Or what do you mean?

I just want to say I wish they would of given Beavercreek their moment . They had a wonderful great sounding fantastic show I was in awe of it. They deserved to get their trophy and at least have their named announced.

Anyone have any idea on how they decided the Class Rankings this year? Usually a group like ETC is always in Class A due to the type of students they are available to pull from. Class Rankings are usually done by school size/student body to pull from. It doesn't seem like that's the case here...

Any ideas?

Looks like they moved them to A
