Hey Adam,

How was finals performance order determined?

Finals were scored with the same score sheet from the day round. Those scores were converted to ranks and those ranks were added up. The lowest score won the competition.

Raw points were used to determine caption awards.

Ranks:

Fort Atkinson: 1, 2, 2, 2= 7
La Crosse Central: 1, 1, 3, 4= 9
St Francis = 1, 2, 3, 4 = 10
Chesterton = 3, 3, 4, 6 = 16
Milton = 4, 5, 5, 6 = 20
La Crosse Logan = 5, 5, 6, 6 = 22

We had an absolutely wonderful time hosting 16 groups from across the midwest! Thanks to all who attended and supported the event!

There needs to be more transparency like this at competitions! And who better to get the information from than the competitions director??? Thank you Adam for the clarification ;). Congrats to you and your kids amazing season, I love Spots <3

If anyone was wondering what the point spread was for prelims here it is. As you can see the top three were all very close, and it's not odd at all to see Fort slide ahead of GCS. Apparently Fort had more 1's than GCS and GCS' rankings were kind of all over the place. I thinking BV and BC were awarded based on points or separate rankings. While placements were given on overall effect. And given crowds reactions to fort's closer and their caption with "best closer" at this competition, there's no oddity in any of the placements .

GCS - 662
Fort - 657
St Francis - 649
Chesterton - 639
Milton - 594
Logan - 585

I'm just saying it's always strange whenever a groups wins choreo and vocals and doesn't win. But that's show choir I guess! Congrats to Fort and GCS on their awesome seasons!!

In hopes of getting some conversation started, here are some sure to be wrong and just for fun predictions:

GC: St. Francis BV
1RU: GCS BC BB
2RU: Chesterton
3RU: Fort Atkinson
4RU: Logan
5RU: Brodhead

I am just in love with St. Francis' show this year. They have really grown as a program and they have beautiful vocals. I saw GCS at Hersey last week and the sound system made every choir's sound artificial so depending how the sound is at Craig it could change my opinion on their show, I don't know. I could see Milton slipping into finals as well.

Regardless, this is an exciting line up for Craig's inaugural competition!

EDIT: added BB
