Once again I was 100% blown away by the jaw dropping performance done by the Hilltoppers. I was able to see their finals performance and their set has to be one of my all time favorites. All of the soloists were amazing (especially the girl who I think is named abby and was on stage by herself singing in the second outfit). You are such an impressive group in that you don't have ANY props or extra risers and you consistently place in the top 2!! Everyone in my choir, The Jefferson Connection, was talking about how incredibly nice everyone from the Hilltoppers are to them and with a group THAT GOOD I would soooo expect them all to be rude and cocky but NO they are all so humble and nice!!! Please keep doing whatever you have been doing because I love your choir and I am not even apart of it
We love Connection <3 Thank you so much. YOUR SHOW IS SO GOOD THIS YEAR, one of my favs so far.

Thank you all for an outstanding Bloomington Gold 2016! We are so fortunate to have such stellar schools compete at our competition, and a fantastic group of friends and followers that make the day so great.

If you're looking for photos or videos of the performances, head to www.stratman.smugmug.com for photos and www.chamberlainprovideo.com for video.

Congratulations to all groups who performed and competed, and we hope to see you all again next year on February 4th, 2017!

I want to give a shout out to North St Paul. You guys were fantastic today. It's the best North St Paul group I've ever seen... And let's just say I've been around for a while now. Keep working hard because your show is GREAT. Don't think for a minute that because you didn't make finals that you were forgotten or bad. This was a tight competition and the audience definitely was on your side. I hope I get to see you somewhere else this season! Really well done!

Special shout out specifically to the ladies of NSP... Your vocals were SO beautiful! Kudos!

Thank you so much for taking the time to acknowledge these kids. They have worked very hard and to know that someone sees the improvements is priceless.

SO happy I decided to come to this competition last minute. I saw Jefferson Connection through Waconia PoCo and i just wanted to share a few thoughts from the four performances I saw!

Jefferson 'Connection': I'd never seen you guys before and WOW you surprised me. Lot's of great energy at the beginning of the show and especially in your opener. It was super strong and you guys executed it very well. Loved the costumes as well!! The only thing was that after the ballad the energy kind of died and I could tell you guys were really tired but that's totally understandable considering the amount of moving you do in your show. Overall, job well done and good luck in finals!

Onalaska 'Hilltoppers' I also had never seen you guys before but OMG YOUR SONG SET SLAYED ME. I was amazed by the vocal powerhouses you have in your group... I mean seriously every single soloist was so good... the first female soloist especially-- You're AMAZING. You guys started singing your ballad and right away I lost my ish... I needed to be 'fixed' because you guys broke me to tears lol. The concept of your show is beautiful... I loved the choreography also! It was so fresh and clean. Magnificent job overall and I hope you do well tonight and the rest of your season!

Totino-Grace 'Company of Singers' The last time I saw you guys was in 2014 at your competition, the Dick Tracy show and you guys are just as good, if not better. The amount of class that you guys present the minute you walk on stage is amazing. The vocals... so smooth and beautiful to listen to. What a fun and innovative show you guys have! also i lost it when Elvis came out on stage. Such a clever set and very well thought out. The men's costumes in the closer was a little odd but it looked very comfortable! Overall, you guys did great and should be SO proud of the show you put out today. Good luck tonight and the rest of your season!!

'WACONIA POWER COMPANY' .... are you KIDDING me... I don't believe that you're high schoolers I believe that you're all professionals that Kevin Chase and Aaron olson have molded into beautiful show choir robots! okay but in all seriousness... the show was great. like really great. really really really great. The fog was so eerie in the beginning and I loved it with the girls dresses and hair. beautiful soloist at the beginning as well. also... THE BAND. The band was so 'power'ful (lol puns) but at the same time, it complimented the singers and dancers so beautifully. The ending ballad note was something that was sung by angels. I have never felt goosebumps like that (partly because the auditorium was oddly cold but props to kennedy for making the auditorium cold instead of 1000 degrees). Nonetheless I really really feel that you guys brought a whole other meaning to high school show choir today and to that, I commend everyone that had something to do with the show because i could literally go on and on about that show.. so awesome. Good luck tonight and at all the other competitions this season

Also-- out of the groups i saw today I had the prelims placements:
1st: Waconia
2nd: Onalaska
3rd: Totino-Grace
4th: Jefferson

Also Pss-- Nice seeing you Kevin and Nick

I came late in the day but some quick comments...

Onalaska..... your female soloist gave me chills. You were the first set I saw today and you really set the tone for the groups that followed. I loooove what Damon gave y'all for choreo. Very classic. Excited to see you bring it in finals.

Totino..... I'm biased, haha. One of your incredible ladies happens to be my favorite cousin. But seriously, let's get into it.... THAT COSTUMINg!!! that purple dress!!!!!!!!!! can I be an honorary member? even though I'm a waconian? please? You had that wonderful Totino sound... it carried beautifully and my show choir newb of a boyfriend (his second season that he's followed. so not that much of a newbie.... but he won't ever get it like us veterans, amiright?) had his jaw dropped. We LoVED your show!!!!!! It was classic Totino... the Totino I grew up watching. I already talked Mr. Voss' ear off but if you want to hear it in person, come find me. Oh, and is Peter not the most amazing performer of all time? He raises the bar of male performance... other groups, watch Peter and take notes. Just amazing.

Waconia... my homies, my dudes. I'm so old that y'all are like "who so this tall person... why is she talking to me like she knows me..." but it's ok. I've accepted that I am a bit of a show choir dinosaur. Y'all are FIRE!!!! That energy.... that show design. I am so so so so so proud. You bring amazing energy in the opener, and you're so sharp that your foot noise is coordinated. You are incredible, every one of you. If I have anything to say... Bring that vocal energy in the closet. Your sound is beautiful and amazing... and I want MORE.

Also, I'll have more notes after FINALzzzzz but shout out to BK for hosing a well run competition. I always feel home when I'm here and pretty sure that's not only because I made the Dymoke's adopt me. I love it here. Thanks volunteers.

So glad to hear that Power Comapny's phenomenal performance carried through the interwebs. I sat in the auditorium watching them with my floor on the ground... Power Company gave their finals performance in prelims... I hope they take it to another planet tonight!
