According to the registration form, total school size is being used for classification.

This is really just me being curious and I was short on time when I posted the schedule earlier, but how were the divisions determined here? With Van Buren in Class A and Shaker Heights in Class C, it doesn't appear that school size is the classification. I think Solon last year changed theirs to choir size which was cool, but I was just wondering for Medina what the breakdown was.

Thanks for this information, Music in the Parks was fine with it, so that's why I was asking. I see you work with a choir in Scranton, is that a middle school level choir? And do you know where they attend competitions? I'm looking for a PA competition if I can find one. THANKS!

Is it acceptable by your rules to use pre-recorded music?

Most, if not all contests don't allow prerecorded music.

Consider joining us for the 2016 Medina Midwest Showcase on February 13, 2016. Our event features:

-a beautiful performance venue - a modern and spacious 1,200 seat auditorium with balcony seating for great views
-exciting decorations and lighting throughout the school, an evenly lit
performance stage, and an option for show choirs to customize some of their performance lighting
-a smaller, 400 seat, auditorium hosting a solo competition
-a large scene shop and stage wing area for sets and costumes
-memorable awards ceremonies
-beautiful glass awards and a number of fun caption awards
-a lot of concession and snack options
-2 host rooms for each participating school
-a directors lounge with complementary food

We are now accepting applications from high school and middle school show choirs interested in participating in the Showcase. We will offer a Single-Gender division as interest demands.
