Glad you enjoyed all the shows!

Specifically referencing Center Grove, what specifically do you mean by characters? Character voice, characters (such as the soloist characters), or character as in kind of character setting?

There's a part when the young lady wants to sing a part and it's comedy. I think it does a disservice to the rest of the show because it feels out of place. It's still good

After having time to reflect on Saturday's comeptetition one word comes to mind: WOW!

I was there for most of mixed prelims and saw all finalists except MZ and the night shows were amazing!

Firstly: MZ OMFG! You guys and gals are simply amazing. That choreo!! The pacing of the show, song selection, the vocals!! So good! It's crazy to me how intricate that choreo was and how you did it to perfection!! Great Job! You definitely earned that choreo caption!

CG: in true CG fashion you gave us a lot. So much happening and well rehearsed. I think you guys always sing so well. Though, I don't know if characters are necessary for a good show. You guys are giving us opera and it was amazing. Good costuming as well.

Whiteland: your finals show OMG! It was MUCH improved from prelims. Each number got better and better. By the end of the show I wanted more!! I love your vocals. They were so good in both prelims and finals. That first chord in the opener!!! EVERYTHING!!

CS: You guys are my heart! Such an improvement from Alumni night. You all put it out there on the stage. You all sound AMAZING! I am left wanting more from the ballad and closer however. it needs a little more oomph ! Those soloists tho!! YASSSSSS! Eli Thomas YOU sir are fabulous!!

Anderson: I enjoyed your show. It is so clean and visually appealing. Your general effect is everything!!

Good Job to all groups who competed and a special shout out to all the finalists! I look forward to seeing you all these season.

I would have had the rankins as follows:

GC: MZ with best choreo
1r: CG with best vocals
2r whiteland
3r CS
4r Anderson

However, CS and Whiteland could be switched.

Great hosting job to the students and staff at Edgewood!

The students of Whiteland Community have SO MUCH to be proud of tonight. They made an incredible improvement from prelims to finals; I was blown away. Regardless of the results, I hope those kids know just how good they did today.

No no, not meant to be a bash on Glenwood at all. They performed phenomonally and deserved the win. I used "coming out of nowhere" for where predictions were before the event. Most people had CG and Hastings in the top two, with Glenwood either 2nd Runner-up or 3rd Runner-up. Come out of nowhere may have been a poor choice of words, but from where they were predicted, it could be considered an upset.

Well, that was a competition that most people would never have been able to predict since there were ten or so groups that were regional powerhouses. Not sure the Glenwood win was much of an upset, nor would it have been if Center Grove, Findlay, Hastings, etc. got first.

Yes, we have done away with Friday night, and moved our entire contest to Saturday.

Thanks!

That will be fun! More people to meet, more choirs to watch!

Thanks folks for sharing the performance order. Looking at the Auditorium schedule, it looks like the middle school event has been consolidated to Saturday along with the rest of the competition. Is that accurate? Or are middle schools still performing on Friday evening?

Very excited for this! I haven't seen MZ since 2008 Center Grove and I was competing lol
Interested to see what all groups bring Saturday.

I am going to amend my predictions:

GC Center Grove
1r MZ
others in no particular order
Central Sound (so biased lol)
Whiteland
Pike/Fishers/Anderson

I will see all the mixed groups prelims and those who make it!! Yay show choir!
