I thought that this years invite went really well. Yeah we did get off schedule by like a half hour but hey I tried keeping the groups going back stage and I kept to only a half hour off not to bad if i do say so, and all the groups were fun to watch.

QUOTE (boiler1 @ Mar 15 2010, 08:46 AM) *

Nothing happened during the finals to account for the change in results.

IMO, Busco put on their best show of the year in the finals.

There is no way any show choir can make up the number of points DeKalb did. This simply speaks to the the fact that the judges were simply not qualified and messed up the prelim scoring.

EN needs to review this and make changes next year.

Other than that, the shows were good & I had a great time.

Thanks for that. We definitely all performed our best. These last three weeks have been so crazy-insane... Luckily, we won't be dealing with ISSMA this weekend, or else it would be a month straight of crazy-insane.

These results happen when you hire people like a local church choir director for a judge.

If those were the placings after prelims, what on earth happened going into the finals? haha. I just find it shocking that things would have moved around that much in one show. Looks like it was a great contest though. Fantastic groups!

The judging at this competition leaves a lot to be desired.

They must have been day dreaming or simply disengaged.

Day results:
GC: Highland
1RU: Churubusco
2RU: Columbia City
3RU: North Side
4RU: DeKalb

I do know DeKalb was 20 points behind North Side in the day show, and 2 points away from Bishop Dwenger, in what would have been 5RU. Busco was 0.5 points behind Highland.

I'll put us higher, Jim-Bob. I think we'll make 3RU, and put Columbia City at 4RU. It will be a great competition, very tight!

I'll start out the predictions
GC: Dekalb (Vocals & Visuals)
1RU: Highland
2, 3 & 4RU: Bloodbath between Busco, Columbia City and Dwenger
Busco has beaten both choirs before
Dwenger has beaten Columbia City before and lost to Busco by .6 of a point
Columbia City has beaten Dwenger at Ben Davis and Busco at Carrol
My prediction is
2RU: Columbia City
3RU: Busco
4RU: Dwenger (Knowing how we usually do at night show)
