Hey there, rep from MG is in the thread!

First, I just want to say that everyone at Onalaska was amazing! Although I never got to see Neenah's or CR Prairie's shows (as they were always in the spots before or after us), I've heard very good things about them! Hastings and Mt. Zion were truly astounding, and it looked to be a very close race! Congrats to both on their placing!

Second, thanks for all the positive comments about our show! As a senior and a 4 year show choir member, it's greatly appreciated! We've worked really hard this year to step up our game, especially with some disappointing seasons in the last two years. I hope to see you guys at some of our future competitions, and especially at our own Silver Stage this weekend!

Does anyone have the point scores for this? Those would be interesting to see. And also, people should start posting shows once they get their dvds!

there were gaps between shows. no one was really within 20 points of each other. Warren has the final points.

I just want to say that i LOVED LOVED LOVED Monona Grove's show in 2006. The female soloist in the ballad had a BEAUTIFUL voice, and April's quirkiness really worked with that group, so if they were anything like that 06 group I have no doubt this will be a fun and special season for Monona Grove!

Congrats to all groups!!!

They were staying at the same hotel as us on Saturday night! It was kind of like show choir central in the La Crosse/Onalaska area

Congrats to Hastings! I'm quite nervous for Sauk after seeing MG beat a CR school and both MG and Neenah beat Sauk.
Anybody with a program know some of the following?
Choreographers for Neenah and MG varsity
Director & Choreographer for MG prep
Judges

The choreographer for MG varsity was April James back when I was there. It could be different now.

We literally had a different director and choreographer combination for MG prep every year I was in high school, so I'm not even going to attempt to guess that one.

Wow. What a competition last night. I had a really great time and enjoyed everyones show. Obviously, a bit disappointed we moved down a spot but hey congrats to Monona Grove. They sang excellent and I really liked their show. Also Hastings and Mt. Zion, the only words that I can think of at the moment are: wow, amazing, fantastic, and clean. I personally thought it was a toss up between those two groups to win it.

Also, working with Greg Jasperse was one of the highlights of the day. He is amazing.

Finally, I can't wait to compete at Monona Grove next week and defend our 2-time champion spot. Theres going to be a lot of good competition there so it should be a good one. Any comments about our show? Just kinda curious to see what people thought.

That's without a program, but I think that's all of them. Some were critique, some were scoring.

Neenah choreographers are the Crisler brothers I believe.

One thing to keep in mind is that Sauk Prairie does a completely different show then every other show choir at Onalaska. It's not friendly to that score sheet, so a lot of times they will place lower here than they will the rest of the season. I thought Sauk was a very solid group.

WOW.
Thank you to everyone at Onalaska who made this the absolute BEST beginning competition to my LAST performing show choir season. I will never forget it. Thank you also to everyone like Neenah who were super awesome and mature and were congratulating us in the halls and everything. I admire that kind of sportsmanship. It was a fight...everyone had amazing shows, and we are honored to be titled champion of such an incredible competition.

No. The competition including the host group was over at around 9:30 or 9:45. And I am an alum, but Hastings choreography was sooo clean and so hard and they had amazing vocals. I really think they deserved it. Mt. Zion was awesome! I feel like they gave a much better performance in prelims. WOW monona. By far the best I have seen you guys! WAY TO GO NEENAH on the best band!!

The contest was over and winners declared by 7:45.......Very hard to believe. Is this just wishful thinking?

The contest and the home school performed before 9:00 and the final winners were announced by then??? I don't believe it.

MTZ sang beautifully, danced the best they've danced, and had an overall amazing show... I was sad they didn't win.
