Hastings too? I haven't heard anything about any of the shows. Do you know some of the songs they did?

Yeah I do remember, but for the sake of their surprise factor, I'll only say that their ballad was Impossible Dream/I Dreamed A Dream. It was stunning.

Apparently a lot of choirs like to sleep/dream this year

In the program about "Eternal Rush": "...a select show choir consisting of roughly seven thousand students..." but seriously there are 96 kids all on that stage. Like what.

It is now the day that we have all been waiting for! Can't wait to see everyone compete at this new venue. For sure going to be there all day!

Good luck to all groups! Remember anyone and everyone could potentially take GC!

I am actually really excited to see the competition between the 3 women's groups. Hi-Style from Linn-Mar is in their first year in a while of being an all women's group, and with their new Director, Trent Buglewicz, they have made FANTASTIC steps forward as a group. Should be a close contest!

The list may be short but the quality of groups attending makes up for it! It looks like this'll be a great first year for Ankeny Centennial! I'm glad to see another Des Moines area competition spring up and I'm sure they're excited for it to happen, I know I was when Prairie held it's competition for the first time 2 years ago!

I'm biased but I hope hastings keeps up their perfect vocals sweep from last year. I've heard that they have a great ballad again this year.

This should be a fantastic competition, Linn-Mar had amazing vocals last year so they might give Hastings a run for their money!

It's pretty crazy because I feel like all five groups historically are just fantastic vocalists.

This competition could go ANY way.

Although, Linn Mar's 2015 band. DANG.

Good luck to all groups competing here! Just a word of advice- get a spot in the auditorium EARLY for "Spectrum's" exhibition performance... The seats will fill fast and you DO NOT want to miss seeing it live. It's pretty incredible!
