I agree, no offence to pekin at all. You guys are great but i think danville will do better. But we all start off with the same points, it depends on how badly you want it and how well you perform your show.

Sounds like most people dont have much hope for the Pekin kids this year :-(

Well, Pekin is ok, but from what I have seen this year I honestly think that if the category has Danville in it, they will win it. At least at this competition anyway. Don't get me wrong, for losing what they lost, Pekin is doing great, but I just think Danville is just better. Good luck to everyone!

hey everyone,
for those of you who didn't already know, Manteno's referendum did not pass. And one of the huge effects of this is that our Jr. High Show Choir "Grand Paws" is going to be cut for next year. This being their last performance ever i was wondering that if you are in herscher when they perform, please stop to watch them at 8:50 to give them moral support. They really really need it! As for magic, well... we have yet to see how this will effect us. Thank you very much!

Thats odd because i left all of the pekin mixed and Single-Gender solos with whoever answered DrJ's phone during his rehearsal earlier this week. Here are the Intuition solos anyways:

1:00 Solo 1
1:10 Solo 2
1:20 Solo 3
1:30 Solo 4

well, a lot went wrong for manteno at watseka. First of all yes, our drummer went to early. But it wasn't completely his fault. You see we were all stanging on stage waiting to go on, bc we start on stage and tehn the anouncer is supposed to come out and say what tehy are to say while we were in our first position. What happened wrong was since we were jsut standing there our diretor Mr Conrad said to our drummer "Come on, Nathan, get them on stage, lets get the show on the road!" Our Drummer took this as get us on stage and start teh show immediately. From what i felt. I got on stage (i life a girl, so i was getting ready for that) i knew there was like a min b4 we had to like life tehn all the sudden outta no where here comes our music. So we start, and of course we started behind bc we didn't expect that. I turned around bc i go from like 2nd riser to floor and i see that one of the judges hadn't even sat down yet. IT shook us up. It was a unbelievable feeling, i dind't feel liek i was even performing until liek the middle of our second number. It was horrible. And it was jsut one more blow to us. Our season hasn't exactly been perfect this year as some of you probably already knew. First of all we are ahving a referendum, which means that our school will be cutting a lot of extra curricular activities if it doesn't pass. MAgic is saved from this, emaning its one of the things that wont get cut, but for anyone who wants to be in it it'll eb very very very expensive and a lot of the families jsut can't afford it. Manteno Citizens vote for that tomorrow (Tues 16). Please hae us in your hopes and prayers we'll need them. Also our director will not be returning to us next year, yes on top of all this we'll be goin through a director change. So i know that we'll be putting more and more effort into every time we don't do so well. Thats what i meant, we'll be working harder than ever b4 for this weekend, and we wont be so easy to fall. Knowing this group each failure has only made us stronger, and we've learned alot from watseka and thats why it'll never happen again(at least not this year, hehe).

Hey Jon, when are the manteno solo's?

From what I was told, Manteno's drummer started early before the announcer had completely announced Manteno and the video cuer didn't start, so they weren't taped. But I don't think that's what Magicman was reffering to when he said that what happend will never happen again.

By the Way...

What did happen to Manteno at Watseka. I looked back by the camera in back while you were performing and saw Conrad looking pretty dissapointed.

I will have one Tommorrow - I believe your director will be receiving a phone call tuesday with the Soloist times. But i will post it when it get it.

it'd be better to post it because she's not going to be at school on tuesday because she has a doctor appointment. i don't know what they're gonna do about said phone call though.

Well im sure she has Voicemail or something. And if not we will continue to try and reach her throughout the week in addition to posting it on here
