Congrats Westside!!!

Did Julie actually win Best Female soloist award .. a bit confused by that one.

Looking forward to next year when I actually get a SC of my own!

Adios,

OK... I had a blast... even though we didn't accomplish the goal that my friends and I had( or MY personal goal for finals (including us.. and the monkey group dry.gif - ps Thanks to the Heelan girls that let me rant with them - It actually put me in a better mood!) ... we accomplished the goals of our directors. We made finals and "we took it to a whole new level." Honestly, I don't really know how we look when we perform because even when we watch rehearsal tapes as a choir, I only watch myself and the person next to me -- BUT-- I feel like we totally stepped it up during finals. We've been going to Mitchell for a while now.. we were youngins in the Junior High choir when Central was good..... but hey... we've worked our show up a bit since our program took a landslide and made finals our SENIOR YEAR- which is totally cool. I was one of the 3 from our choir that went up on stage when two representatives were supposed to go... I totally freaked out when Special Request ( the group that I choreograph ) took 2nd in their class " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ... and when they were announcing finalists and got to the 4th group after I'd been clapping like a mindless drone with a smile.....and they said ABERDEEN EAGLE EXPRESS " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> .... My directors and I were the only ones that actually heard him.. the other two kids with me totally spaced out ... after that I didn't listen to who was 4th or 5th (sorry!) but I totally knew it was Heelan anyway!
I know our show is totally different than the norm, but I love that I actually get to put my dance training to work in SHOW CHOIR for the first time ever! The bad part is that I GET WINDED - and I'm in relatively ok shape.... hmm...SCARY " border="0" alt="ermm.gif" /> . ANYHOO ... just wanted to let the Mitchell kids know how much fun Eagle had and to tell anybody else that is reading this that performed that YOU WERE ALL TOTALLY AWESOME and GOOD LUCK at your next performances!

Sorry Jon, I should have probably mentioned who I was... lol.. too many other things on my mind I suppose. I was so excited just to get out and meet new ppl - that's what I was famous for in my show choir, mingling among other show choirs. But usually the 'famous' part came when I actually got e-mail addresses and screen names, but I didn't do that this year. Hmm.. maybe I shoulda..... Jon, if you could get me that info. from the guys that I met, I'd be uber appreciative!! If not, I'll understand!

Wow, it's late.. I have a long drive tomorrow.. back to Lincoln.. but wait... It's my BIRTHDAY!! woot woot!!!!!

superalto- if you wouldve said who you were i wouldve been more understanding you rock

jill- dont leave me for matt

me- why are you talking to yourself?

A couple of things Id like to point out, the competition was run well and I appreciate that, thanks to all of the hosts, and such, and I think that the way the "homerooms" were really allowed a mix of show choirs and let everyone be comfortable and really feel the show choir lovin!
wow that was uncalled for, if there are any guys out there from pinnacle you guys really rocked oh and thanks for being friendly in the changing shack after your afternoon show.
Congratulations to all.

Sorry Jill for the random hugs I gave you I am just that kind of person " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> I had so much fun, I could tell heelan wanted to win real bad they stepped it up SO much in finals it was incredible!! so did Omaha!! I hope next year we get some more groups to come that usually don't, and of course all the groups that came this year!! Did everyone hear me sing part of the EYE OF THE TIGER!!!

all I did was M&M&M&M&M&M&M&M&M&M&M&M&M&M&M on the same note!!! what a hard thing to do haha!

Hey-

Thanks to everyone at the competition, especially our hosts. You guys were awesome hosts, and your performance was outstanding. I had a great time, and hope to come back next year. Go ATSC! Oh, and SuperAlto, his name is Drew, and the names of all the other people are correct as well.

Mitchell is amazing...LIVIN ON THE EDGE ON THE EDGE ON THE EDGE ON THE EDGE OF THE CENTURY!

Omaha Westside is amazing! I expected that your vocals would be pristine and perfect...well, they were! I am so impressed with your diction! It is just enough...not too much but enough that we understand you! It was great to meet Jill! Also, it was awesome dancing to Britney with random Omaha Westsiders...and our director! - did you guys get to watch O'Gorman?

I loved this comp - I think it was the most difficult comp that Mitchell has held in my tenure at high school!

I wasn't able to meet you either! Dang, I thought I was doing so well with meeting ppl, but I guess I entirely forgot that there were other ppl on here for me to check what their real names were. But the day was a whole ton of fun and I'm so happy I went. Hopefully I'll be able to make an appearance again next year.

Omaha Westside is seriously my new favorite show choir ever..... behind Eagle of course! lol!! I've said this on here before, but the curly haired boy from ATSC is my new love!! Oh man.. watching that guy perform... I think I was drooling, ok not really but I was darn close! lol! I think someone told me his name is Drew? But yeah... didn't get to meet him.. but i did meet... Dan Adams I want to say is his name and Jon Gates and David Plank and Laura Weiss (just cause I go to college with her brother!) lol! and of course, I met the infamous Matt from O'Gorman. Other than that, I didn't talk to anybody else - I couldn't remember the Mitchell kids' names.. so sorry Derek.... next year.

Oh by the way, I loved Mitchell's show too - it was 'different' and I loved that.... yeah.. all in all great day - but I gotta run, so I'll have to post critques even later!

And "Special Request" was 7th for finals.... they had missed by like 6 pts. I think they said. Anyhow, we were all uber proud and super pumped for Eagle!! I know they've worked hard and I was so excited they made finals this year!!

I had a super great time... and I realized today just how much I miss show choir - so for those of you that it's your last season, make it memorable.... b/c it really sucks to have regrets! But I also met a ton of great ppl today - including a few kids from Omaha (who probably thought I was a dork, but that's ok... I had fun!) and the infamous Matt from O'Gorman - congrats by the way! But I'm too tired to give my full input on everything that happened today - so I figure I'll do that tomorrow when I'm not so... uh..... tired? night ya'll!
