It really confuses me why in a school of 2500 kids, there are 24 in their varsity show choir.  Who knows, I'm sure their director has a very good reason.

Carroll only has around 1200-1300 students. The 24 performers just boils down to...guys, for some reason, guys just aren't trying out for Show Choir with all the other things they have to offer. They have a JV group, and some of the guys there will most likely move up next year but I think she is keeping the number down mostly because Carroll is known for small groups with great vocals. They have had larger groups in the past, just not in recent memory.

Unfortunately, I understand the thing about the guys all too well. I mean, I can't imagine what would happen if our director cut all the guys who shouldn't be in show choir.

Its ok, lets not talk about past competitions, those dont matter! What matters is that everyone does their best on saturday, so everything can be fair as possible! That, or i'll just pull a tonya harding on some choirs and we'll see how good they do then...watch your back center grove....woops, did i say that out loud hahaha

p.s.-KIDDING!!

They got second at norwell (GC was Huntington and 3rd was Homestead), and won Huntington (beating Ben Davis). I honestly have never been too impressed by thier shows, but that's just me. It really confuses me why in a school of 1500 kids, there are 24 in their varsity show choir. Who knows, I'm sure their director has a very good reason.

I think it's really funny how none of you Esprit people wanna talk about to 40 point spread between us at Belmont (and there were 3 judges).

This is Center Grove's last contest, so they (Both Debtones and Sound System) need to put on a KILLER show and prove to everyone they're worthy of that grand champion trophey.

Southwestern will do very well at this contest. They did make finals at TC's most recent contest (in 2002). It would be unprofessional of me to post predictions, but I think this will be a very, VERY good contest. Granted Center Grove and Carroll keep up the amazing level of performance they've been showing all year, they should be at the top.

What makes this a good contest (as far as the competitive level) is I think the rest of the groups are kind of all at the same level, so finals should be fierce.

I'll be at Triton Central (my old school!) during the day shows, so if anyone wants to meet me to say hi, let me know here! I might buy you a cookie or somethin'.

Well I owuld defintaly love to go to North Central but there is a waiting list and I dont know if we would beat Clinton or not because Ive heard mixed things...but that doesnt matter right now because we arent going to North Central...we are going to Triton Central and i dont care if people say its gonna be an easy win...if we think it's gonna be an easy wint then we will definatly lose so we arent taking it lightly casue anything can ahppen at the competitions and you people definatly know that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am happy and feel honored to go to any competition whether you think it's easy or not so just know that anyone can take this trophy home and that it's always anyones to win or lose!!!!!!!!!!!!but good luck to everyone and I cant wait to compete again!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know, how many times have you been avove the top 5?

And it's kind of ridiculous to compare placings at different competitions.  I don't believe esprit has competed against Dekalb, Center Grove, Mentor, Gahanna, and Twinsburg.

We haven't competed lately with the show choirs you have listed, but we have competed in the finals with Edgewood (IN), Fairfield (OH), Marion Harding (OH), ETC (OH), Capital (WV) and we have placed very closely behind them. It is going to be a tough competition at Triton Central. I do believe that either Luers or Southwestern will take the 5th spot. It is all in the hands of the judges. Good Luck to all!!!!

Hey Esprit person, no need to bring rudeness into this...someone had said that you guys beat us @ Norwell, and we stated the fact that it wasnt true...no one from Luers has bashed you guys in anyway, so we would please ask you not to bash us in return! Thanks, and good luck this weekend

I heard that North Centrals comp has a waiting list though... so... that kinda stinks!

Wow! Way to try and hype up Southwestern! Choreography can only you get you so far, and then vocals will be what really carry the group and the show! So we'll just see....
