Wow Chicagoland has to be by far one of the most competitive competitions in the entire midwest.. i was blown away by the amount of talent. Congratulations to Petal who earned a well deserved Grand Champion among a goup of awesome finalists. Prospect - i dont know who you guys do it but your vocals are simply amazing. Your show is very clean, and on a side note...prospect might just be the best looking choir our there Petal- wow your energy is amazing -- your choreo is unstoppable! You guys do an awesome job at not only having amazing vocals but singing well and having incredibly challenging Choreo. EEE- One word. WOW. You guys were totally on your game in the night show. You have my vote for best band and best dance breaks. Your ballad made me tear up in both the day and night show (esp the night show). And to John --- you have an amazing voice. Your Grand Championship is coming soon..bo doubt!

All in all.. it was a great competition with an unbelievable amount of talent!

First of all, let me say I'm so proud of Petal! You represent Mississippi well. We're so lucky to have both you and Clinton going around the country as an example of professional choirs. I saw the line-up for this competition and let me say...it couldn't have been an easy win. So, Petal...you rock...

Second...and possibly most importantly (and the primary reason for my post)...I would like to say that these people on here from Mt. Prospect have got to be some of the most gracious First Runner Up's I've ever seen. Petal usually takes a lot of heat from groups when they win, but not from you guys. I'm so astounded at your maturity and your genuine admiration. I KNOW that the Petal people appreciate your generous words and admire you as well. I know that I always find myself amazed at what Petal does each year...so clean and well rounded...a complete package.

Though I didn't get to go to this Chicagoland competition, I have seen Mt. Prospect before...always an amazing vocal talent...probably the best vocal choir (I think better than Huntington North) out there! I have several friends from Petal, and they respect your talent and dedication very much. I know they look forward to seeing you again in Branson. Like I said, you guys are amazing for seeing show choir as a wonderful learning experience where choirs can learn from each other.

To EEE...you guys deserve a great deal of praise as well. I know you wanted to win. You guys are always amazing...and have such "spunk." I like it. I wish you guys well. I knew you would be in the top three...great job! You guys are never scared to go against the best out there. That says a lot. You don't shy from competition.

Edgewood, Enterprise (go Alabama!), and Crete...Congrats on your placements as well. Considering the line-up at this event, anyone in the top six should count themsleves as among the best!

Edgewood Music Warehouse from Elettsville, IN competed yesterday in Arlington Heights. I believe the Edgewood that competed at Fairfield is from Ohio.

Did Ya'll see me and my friends walking around with our "I Support Fort" T-Shirts??? Yeah we were representin'. Unfortunately my Fort Buddies got 7th I thought they had a great show, but I didn't see many other shows so they all must have had great shows too! All around it seemed like a good competition, I wish our group could have gone!

I just wanted to make a correction for the grand champion female soloist. Her name is not Sarah, it's Julie Morse from Eisenhower Elite Energy (EEE). Congratulations girl, you did great!

As well for EEE, you guys are my favorite, so keep your heads up! Your show was amazing and you were really on your game. It's the best I've seen you!! I enjoyed meeting some of you, and hope to definitely see you again! Love ya'll!

No Prospect did not win, it's ok though, there's no shame in second next to a group like Petal. Talk about the complete package, congrats to all. I'm sure there'll be more about the competition later.

Captions? " border="0" alt="huh.gif" />

Was Prospect able to get best vocals over Petal? (I'm pretty sure Petal would get choreography - they were pretty amazing!)

What a great line up of finalists, though - tough decisions!
