No one's saying anything different that that they probably will make finals. All I'm saying is that the top 9 are very close to each other and any of them could finish anywhere from 1-9.

we placed one spot behind sauk prairie at the last competition we saw them at...but seriously people...just because they didn't make finals the first time doesn't mean they won't do good at their next competition..I still predict them possibly winning GC

yes we got 9th at sullivan, but it was really ahrd comp. If any of you ahve seen half of the groups we went up agianst you'd agree. It was also our first comp. I'm hoping that we'll do better at brodhead! I think we will, personally.

You should at least make finals, and probably top three (which is where I placed you.) Three places behind Sauk Prairie means that you're right with the pack of 9 that could finish in any combination of placings.

First.
Just to restate: Not all comments reflect on collective choir opinions.
Criticisms and predictions are personal matters, not overall choir views.
Personally, I take criticism positively, or else with a grain of salt, cuz hey, you can't please everybody. So criticize my choir as you wish, i enjoy it!

Second.
Katie, I appreciate the male caption prediction, but I wouldn't put more than ::hmm:: 2 dollars on that bet!
I'll keep you posted darling!

Third.
Thanks to all who are placing us so high, but I don't feel able to predict anything.
Like Miriam said, this competition will be so exciting becuz there's no telling who will take it! So many great choirs... I know absolutely nothing about Manteno, and who knows how Fort, Old Abe, Pizazz, Monona, and Altoona will fight (i only mention them knowing their shows, the others we'll see)

I haven't seen Hastings girls show yet, but the Classy Ladies show this year I don't this is as good as last years show...so my predictions go to Hastings. And yes, Luke is the CL choreographer this year.

Last year our own video club taped it. But now many of the better video people are in show choir themselves, so they can't do it. This company is from Brodhead. So hopefully they will be more accustomed to the surroundings, and do a better job.

Yes, you will.  It is the same company that does Monona Grove and Fort Atkinson.  Go to www.visionsforthefuture.net and click on online order forms- the rest will be self-explanatory.

::Hangs head in dissapointment::

No offense to anyone on here, but that company is HORRIBLE!

I watched the MG DVD with some friends that do camera work for our local tv station, and we couldn't help but laugh at the quality! Their white balance was horribly off on the longshots (which were very few, which sucks because you gotta watch the whole choir to get the effect), they did a lot of shaky handheld work for closeups, whenever we had a soloist they took forever to get a closeup of them, and usually held it for too long while they missed something cool going on somewhere else. I know that taping show choirs is hard, but man.. they honestly did a really bad job. Plus the audio was bad because their were no filters on the mics so they basically picked up single voices in the front. I really hope the do a better job at Brodhead....

Luke Kreitzke is the assistant choreographer for Logan Class Act and the choreographer for Classy Ladies, or at least he was last year.

Hastings Divaz do have a tradition of excellence among women's groups and mixed prep groups. is Logan's women's group the Classy Ladies? who is their choreographer? i haven't seen them this year, but i know from watching that the divaz have a killer set and some really awesome soloists. i'm a personal fan of brandon begnaud (combo piano player) and his triangle solo tho! but in all seriousness, Divaz have come very far this year and i'm excited to watch them at Brodhead. WE <3 OUR DIVAZ!!! " border="0" alt="wub.gif" /> " border="0" alt="wub.gif" />

Well, it's not really fair to say that. They were the only prep show choir there, unless you count Mayville Middle School. In my opinion a prep group should beat a middle school group most of the time. But I would not be suprised if Hastings Divaz also beat some varsity groups.
