lol Yeah. Every year we go to one national competition. Last year was show choir Nationals, this year it's FAME Branson. We leave on April 15th I think. Next year, we're supposed to be going to Showstoppers New York, so that should be fun. I can't believe competition season is pretty much over for everyone! It went by so quickly!
Ya know, we should get together and hang out sometime next competition season. If I'm not too dorky for you, that is. lol
yeah i did! remember i came up to you and i was like You are CodyMac from sco! and you were like No I'm not....maybe. lol.
hahaha that is so funny that ppl think my hair is fake. ummm no? the funny thing is that i always wear my hair straight and it is straight as a board. i think that no1 would recognize me with straight hair from show choir. maybe next year i will start wearing it straight with a poof. if my director would let me. but i doubt she would. haha. anyway, well do yall go to any more comps?

I was among the group of South Jonesees that was talking to you about your hair outside the PAC last night, while we were all waiting to get inside to watch Albertville. lol I felt bad: you didn't even recognize me!
the petal competition was so much fun!!!! i had a great time and thought that the rankings were right on the money! south jones---yall were absolutely incredible and CONGRATS on your win! i know that is exciting and yall did fantastic! your show is SO fun to watch and my group sings your songs all the time....even the ones from last year! great job! and CODYMAC that WAS you!!!! i know you from this website! lol!

well comp season is over for us and i guess its about time for me to get back to my normal life. no excuse for not having time to do homework or study or go to club meetings i am sapposed to be at.....lol. its been a long and stressful two months for me, but it sure has been a blast.... even though i am really tired right now and my hair is fried from a months worth of hairspray and curling irons ( and NO i do NOT wear a wig for my show choir performances....ppl ask me if my hair is real at competitions.....hmmm....well yeah? i think i would sling it off if it was fake...lol) i am going to miss all the show choir friends i have and all the crazy bus trips, but this year has been a great one and i look forward to next year! my SENIOR YEAR YEAAAAHH!!! when i graduate i will be such a loser cuz show choir is my life and i will be lost without ovations! but anyway....every1 did so great this year and i HOPE that i will see some of you at show choir camp in illinois this year!

Sadly, I didn't get to see Homewood or Tupelo this weekend, due to our scheduling, and my inability to make it through the auditorium doors before they closed. lol
Petal show choir Invitatonal: Finalists (the ones I saw)
Opelika - You guys just keep on getting better. I thought you were pretty darn good at your invitational, but no. You kicked it up a notch, and showed everyone up at Homewood. Then you came to Petal and did even better! You're so energetic, and you never let your show die: and that's what it's all about! Our whole group walks around singing "I've Got To Groove" and doing the choreography for it! Congrats on your "Best Overall Effect" caption, and finals placement! Y'all are awesome!
Long Beach - ...Wow. No, WoW!! You're only a A group?!?! It's unbelievable how far you guys have come in only a few years. On top of your awesome ballad soloist, you sang Christian songs (You get MAJOR points on my scale for that one ), and sang them VERY well! I loved your outfit colors, and can't wait to see what you guys have got in store for us these next to years. Congratulations on your 3rd place finish, and "Best Vocals" award: I couldn't have found a better group for it to have been given to if I had to.
Albertville - Hm..what to say about my all-time favorite choir..This year, you guys definitely made me proud. I'll have to admit that the last year's show was a little bit on the boring side, but you kept me on my toes through it all this year! I love the opening costumes, and your backdrops. You're choreography was super, and vocals were amazing! Congrats on a job well done, and a 2nd place finish! I couldn't be happier for you!

all the groups in the aa div. are so good!!! we were shocked to have done so well in finals. conjracts to everyone there everyone was so good. Way to Go south jones. and homewood we love you guys.
I def. think that if they did they would ROCK out the AA Division too... They beat us this weekend and watching there show i know why...Long Beach was incredible. If they did move to the AA Division a lot of groups might want to kick it in to gear. If they can have that sound with 30 something people ..image what it would sound like with 40 something people! Congrats to EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!
I was talking to a guy from Long Beach about this last night after the finals results, so I figured I'd ask and see if everyone else shared my opinion. lol
Do you think Long Beach should change to AA division?
I think they'd kick major tail if they did. I mean, they came in 3rd in finals, beating out 3 big SouthEast powerhouses.
HOMEWOOD, I love you! I was SOO surprised that you guys didn't take home a top 3 spot! I really only saw your show once( pre-lims)- I saw it at your competition, but it was 1:00 in the morning and I was pretty dern tired so I didn't remember much. Homewood, just remember one thing: after the storm the earth will sing. So ride the storm out.
Albertville- I give you guys props for being original. I've never seen a show as different as yours. Good job.
South Jones- you guys improved SO much from Homewood. It was like I was watching a completely different group ( I'm sure that your performance was even better in finals- Long Beach didn't watch any finals groups). AWESOME job!
Opelika- Great show!

Hey Cody Mac, you didn't have any problems with posting that did you? Just kiddin and congragulations to everyone who made finals...I know it was a fun day. And Congragulations to South Jones on getting the choreography award, doesn't your director also choreograph? That is very interesting to me, and says a lot about the guy, he is talented all around! The other caption awards don't suprise me, and hey Long Beach way to rep for us A choirs! Too bad another competiton season has come and gone...glad I've got one more to go!
Just wanted to say congrats to everyone! I would have hated to be one of the judges at that competition! That would have been one of the hardest decisions...Congrats again everyone!!!
