Go to www.bcvocalmusic.com, click under Touch of Class to find out about video orders.
There has been some questions about people going to the hospital at TOC and whether any of them were from Clinton, none of the Mississippi girls went.  I believe a girl from Benton, a girl from Cedar Rapids and an older gentleman experiencing chest pains were transferred by ambulance.

Bad nachos or something? What happened?

Actually, the Clinton area is fairly affluent.  There are many affluent areas in the Metro Jackson area.  The median income in Clinton is somewhere around $50K to $55K a year.  (just a little tidbit.)  To, put that in perspective, the median income in San Francisco, CA is around $55K a year (and cost of living is much higher).  Plano, TX is also in a similar median income range. (If you know anything about these areas, you would know that these areas are typically considered "wealthy.") There are also other neighboring suburbs in the Jackson area with large Median incomes by comparison...Brandon $50K to $60K....and Madison...$70K to $85K per year.  (Beverly Hills Median Household Income is $62,500 ...source MSN Home Advisor.)

Hopefully, this will dispell the Clintonians are poor theory.  They do raise money, but they also have a lot of support from their community.  It doesn't hurt that most of the kids involved are solid financially too. HEHE.

Those are some good facts.

You learn something every day!

My post was taken out of context and I do apologize for it. I did not mean that Mississippi was poor. What I meant was that I don't think Clinton is wealthy. I think that they practice endless hours and do a lot of fundraising for their shows, therefore, the appearance of wealth is what some think. My personal opinion is that they are great and are deserving of their titles. Also, they are beautiful people. Again, please accept my apology.

WHERE ELSE ARE THEY COMPETING?

Well, if you want to drive out to the North Central competition in Indiana you can see them, but some of the girls in their group told me that they were going to New York in a couple weeks, and I think another one they said was Petal, not sure when that is though.

But if you go to North Central you can see us again too!

I only saw a few afternoon performances at Benton but DANG. First time I saw Clinton, and I had heard the hype and they did not disappoint. They were the best show choir I have ever seen. I would be so bold to say that the performance through my eyes was flawless.

Congrats to West Side. I'm really proud of you guys. You must have really stepped it up in finals. Keep it up for Great River!

Clinton is right outside of Jackson, MI. They do have money just to let you know, but they also have an extremely supportive community. GO CLINTON!

FIRST OF ALL.....YEAH i am so sure that Mississippians are poor!!! what b.s..they all look like gazillionaires...gorgeous, very well dressed, and the best show choir in the world...how rude of you to make that assumption!
anyway i loved the groups at benton. jefferson was great! i do think that attache deserved the grand championship though i am going to be very long-winded!

CR Jeff: I think you guys are great. the vocals were awesome, i thought they came very close to attache. congrats on a great performance!
CR Kenn: good job! i like the whole "team" song..i think its cool too how many kids you guys have in the group. i enjoyed it.
CR Wash: I think that Imagine is one of the best ballads ever! i liked it when edgewood did it like 3 years ago too..youre group has consistently good vocals. clean up that choreography is my only advice.
Attache: obviously there show is perfect, so i want to mention some of the individuals that stuck out to me..because in my book the standouts of attache are the all stars of show choir!!
they were all so great looking! clinton high school is the OC high school with all the movie star looking people!! but there is this one girl that ROCKED my world..shes outrageous..the tall blonde that was usually on the second row, on the top for the ballad. who is she! i am surprised she is even in show choir, she seems too beautiful for anything. if i looked as good as her, i would just sit around and look in the mirror!
I talked to several girls that said they were juniors this year, and they made me feel like a million dollars because they were so sweet. why am i not from the SOUTH! all the rumors about attache are an attempt to make up for the unreal quality of their people and the talent they have because it is (and definitely was in the past two years that i have seen them) UNREAL!
i dont think the world is ready for that soloist from the closer! she's a great performer..wow! and the really short girl on the front, sexy momma!! The car guys number was insane.."hey little cobra"..where do they find these guys!! their sound is just as good as last years elvis stuff (hard to top)!! all of the guys are great, there isn't even a stand out. The tall black headed boy is so cute though, he's mostly on the second row during group numbers but was jumping on one of the cars in that song.
SORRY this was so long, but i had to let you people know the people to look out for in attache. Guys they are SO good, i didnt want their show to end.
WHERE ELSE ARE THEY COMPETING?

I don't think that Clinton "rents" clothes!  LOL  Also, they are from Mississippi, gee, do you really think they are that "wealthy"?  Could it be that they practice very hard and use what money they do have wisely for their shows?  Fundraisers, perhaps? ohmy.gif

Because they are from Mississippi? I'm not even from Mississippi, and I find that quite offensive. Who are YOU to imply that Mississippians are all poor?! And if that was in fact, true, it's a shame those "poor" kids can make themselves look so much better than everyone else (both on stage--and off).
